One of my fish is undergoing liver failure; I've saved them from diseases like fin rot before but here there's nothing but hope, fresh water and salt that can save it. Might have to kill it if it doesn't get any better, poor thing is entirely swollen.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
I am reasonably sure that that is a fake comic, though.

Still sad :<

Follow up to story, alternative ending
I own all the Calvin and Hobbes. It's fake, I can tell just by looking at it. A very good imitation. Calvin's writing hand is wrong, among other things. Creator took existing scenes and hashed it. The first one you linked would've been more convincing since that's using solely original panels.

But like I said before: WHY.

WhILE i DON'T own much of the Calvin and Hobbes ...series(?), it rips me to shreds whenever heartwarming scenes occur.
Like this. Thanks Skyrunner for the follow up because I wAS just  :'( there.

I think it was faked because the tone in said fake is more...well, depressing? Emotional? I bet its for imgur points than not :v

That actually physically hurt to read. You don't use SHIFT to make caps like a normal person?

Today I saw once more that most retarded of all political BS conspiracy stories circulated on the Facebook, that of "Obama's Muslim Prayer Curtains" in the White House and how the nebulous previous poster mysteriously could not share the image.

This makes me sad. :-\
I...have always used the caps lock to capitalize letters.
The shift key is unknown to me unless I use it for the...special symbols.

...
On a more positive note, that keeps me aware of internet etiquette TO NOT SCREAM LIKE THIS or to use all possible keys that I can on the keyboard.
...
The orange part. :(
I'm happy not being normal. Hmphy! >_> <_<

Yeah, that's something to do with ctrl, shift, and right-shift or something.

I just deleted the french settings so that even if it fucks around, it doesn't actually change.

>Surgery appointment today
>The procedure they can do today would require me to find somebody willing to take a couple days off and sit around with me due to general anesthesia being a thing, this is completely impractical. Also a 6 to 8 week recovery time, and I move in less than 2 months.
>The procedure whose consequences I can feasibly deal with isn't one they can do unless luck conspires to have symptoms come to a peak at exactly the right time, and there's no way to predict it in advance. Certainly not today.
>Have to call my supervisors to explain that, no, I guess I actually don't need those sick days for the rest of the week.

Guess it's back to just hoping the problem goes away on its own!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Bauglir, would that procedure help with the problem, though? Leaving medical problems untreated would probably be much more impractical than dealing with recovery during a move. Then again, I'm missing details here.

I'm experiencing an existential sad. The fight against stupidity is eternal and often fruitless. It's too easy to succumb to merely fighting the stupid, which is like trying to solve hunger but ending up fighting the hungry. Cutting ties and just surrounding myself with like-minded people would be stupid, since without contrasting perspectives it would be harder to see my own stupid. There's just so much misinformation out there, and people latch onto it and spread it without even the slightest thought as soon as it gets a reaction from them.

Simultaneously pressing Shift and Alt will cycle your keyboard language settings. Happens to me quite a lot because I use Alt+Shift+S to post.
