I can't picture milk and coke working together, actually.
They don't.

Chocolate milk and Dr Pepper don't either.

Curse my love of mixing drinks together.

On the other hand, as far as odd mixes go, tomato and orange juices do work together. As does milk and OJ, oddly enough.

You guys with the milk must be doing it wrong. Add milk to beverage, not beverage to milk, otherwise the milk will curdle.
This.

Although in general, milk + anything acidic is advised against, because acids will naturally curdle the proteins in the milk. This is also why spoiled milk curdles, because the bacteria nomming up all the lactose produce lactic acid.

Of course, you also make some kinds of cheese that way (like Indian paneer).

And I can't digest ANY of it. Which makes this suitable for the sad thread.  :-[

And citrus fruit juices.
Demonstrably wrong, as anybody who's had a funny drink can tell you.

Vehicle headlamps are the devil.

I'm entirely unsure at this point whether my low-light vision is terrible or too good. Either way, getting tiny flashlights shined in it every few seconds goddamn sucks. Equal suck is being functionally barred (at least if I don't want to be pushing extra risk on myself and everyone else on the road*) from driving near or after sunset, because I spend half the time nearly freaking blind. I mean, I can stay on the road and in the correct lane, but I have trouble picking out important cues, like blinkers and distance.

Other sad bit is something like half of the problem's just my windshield. Ruddy thing doubles or trebles glare compared to other vehicles I've been in the last while. Don't even know who I'd bug to get that fixed, and couldn't afford it anyway. Bleh.

*Which, unlike many bastards around here (/everywhere), I don't.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

Got screamed at for not calling the volunteer place.

I already have 300+ volunteer hours, so it's not going to help my resume any. If it's getting me out of the house that's her concern, then how come this is only starting now? Instead I've been idling in my room for the past twenty years or so and she hasn't made a big deal of it.

Admittedly, I do nothing but sit here in front of my screen. Even then, I rarely do things on the computer itself, it's just me staring at nothing. I don't have the drive to do anything.

I get nervous just calling my friends to see if they are open to do anything, so I tend not to contact them at all. I don't like drawing or 'shopping images, and actually get nervous when doing something like that, and am usually prepared to hide it should someone come near my room, so that's not a way to pass time.

Orange, lemons, limes and grapefruits have acidic juices. Unless you like eating stuff like sour cream, you probably won't enjoy it.
Sure.

It's so friggin HOT.

I'm sleeping under a TOWEL to keep cooler than my faux-fur blanket and sleeping-bag sheets will let me.

I've never been able to sleep that way. My father hasn't either, it might be genetics or something.
