I don't say anything to people unless I am certain I can either trust that person entirely or I am fully anonymous.
I think that counselors are legally bound to keep what you said confidential unless it's an immediate danger to anyone.

Tiruin confirmed for saint.

This doesn't extend to school counselors (at least not here), as I found out once...

In the most part--they are.

Word of honor, what we call it here (in lack of any 'mandated' or...legal thing in place)

Tiruin needs to be dead for at least twenty years first to be a saint.

So saint-to-be would be more accurate.

TBH I always just use "he" in cases of anonymity because it's the shortest pronoun to type, doesn't have the horrible connotations of "it", and doesn't sound as silly as made up ones like "xir."

Schools have counselors now?

There weren't any in any of the schools I went to until college. If you had a problem, you went to a one of your teachers or occasionally the vice principal.

Or is this an American thing?

Fine, "it" will be a =POPE= then.

I just always use he when not sure. Not because of sexism; because of habit. If anyone takes offense, it's easily changed to the proper one.

I generally do the same. Sometimes I make a guess based on their avatar, though, so... Yeah.
So... Anybody got something positive for the people with sads? Or any sads to share?
