still don't get how free cloud services are desirable

especially one hosted by a corporation which is known to love personal data very very much

whatever happened to private ftp servers and physical backups

If Google wants my pointless annoying lab reports, they can fucking take all of them and then some.

Especially the one I was trying to get done since Thursday, but couldn't because it demands from me to find a differential of a function by hand when I have a perfectly serviceable computer and the program where I do my graphs would gladly do it for me in a fraction of the time. And the reason it's not in the script is because the script is from 1981 +/- 1 year.

So my break was shorter and more tiring than expected. Back into the fray I guess. Need to start the art learning thread again too, and do a bunch of stuff still, hnnnng, I just want to sleep for two days or so, heck, sleep until the summer, then do nothing because it's too damn hot to do anything :C

I've had employers scoff at my volunteer hours because that's "not real work".
Where the hell are you applying? Most places I know would love to get people with anything on their resume besides "went to high school"

Sounds about right. >.>

And yeah, volunteer/unpaid work should definitely count on a resume.

Steam did a 'free money' thing.
But it's a sham.

It does. Just list it differently than employment or education, and make the words "Volunteer Experience" bold.

It had better count. I made my Aunt pull some strings to get me volunteering in an Archivist's library/museum. They want dedication to a history and english course on UCAS? There's your dedication!

I can't remember where exactly, since it has been at least two or three years since I had even updated my resume.

Though I do remember going around with a friend of mine and handing out between thirty and fifty resumes, and not one place called back. A few of them turned us down on the spot. Some others had special application sheets, and it was policy that only those sheets could be accepted.

And yes, I do have volunteer work listed under its own header on my resume.

I searched for this for about 10 minutes. Not sure if was joke. Cuz google says that's not even a thing.

Google tells me that Bobbin Threadbare is the protagonist of a game called Loom.

Though I did find a user called ThreadbareInc.

Also I have a rather painful kidney stone, right now.
