It's starting to look like even if I get thinner I will still look ugly.
Fuck. Genes.
Have you thought about changing your aesthetic ideals? That usually helps, at least a bit~
It should not be this ridiculously difficult to look androgynous.
You'd be surprised. Plus, people tend to default to male when they can't tell what a person's gender is.

I feel like I'm walking a fine line between: keeping my superiors informed on the (lack of) progress regarding the repair situation, and signing my own termination letter. It is not a pleasant feeling, but I also don't want to sit here until everyone forgets about me.
But the problems with repairs aren't your fault. How would that impact on their impression of you?

Heh, even though biologicaly female is the default gender, and the Y chromosome just suppresses certain genes...

But it is the default gender for most people, when looking at a picture/whatever where gender isn't clear? ???

Anyways, my sad: kinda forgot that I was going to go to something this evening. Guess I'll sit here and play videogames and save my partying for the weekend.

I think most people, when lacking details about another person, will assume the person is the same as them.

Only because women live longer. There's actually more male than female babies.

And wars result in more male deaths. (The statistical significant bit basically being the knock on from WWII, but still.)

[scientific accuracy nazi]The Y chromosome codes for a Testis-Determining Factor hormone, which causes the embryo to become male. If no X chromosome is present, embryo becomes female. Kinda like a logic gate: if Y, then male; if no Y, then female.[/scientific accuracy nazi]

I'm pretty sure most people here know that men have a Y chromosome...

That being said, If an androgynous person were to be wearing androgynous clothing and have an androgynous haircut, I'd probably go with male just because boobs. It's obviously not a perfect indicator, but it does help isolate a majority.

Actually, you don't need an Y chromosome. If you translocate the Tdf-encoding gene onto another chromosome, you get a male, though sterile and with some abnormalities.
