Does everyone think that kickstarter is, in fact, a way to make games without paying costs overall or something, as opposed to helping guys get funds to make something?

No.  You have to get starting money somewhere.

Worry about if a group Kickstarters over and over again, not about us poor bastards trying to get off the ground for our first game.

You could politely ask Toady to change it. He has the power.

It's just that you get companies with plenty of capital behind them kickstarting stuff, now.

Yeah... that's probably because publicity that other people are paying you for >________>

Define "Plenty of Capital". Because a lot of the time products are more expensive than people think to produce. Remember when Skull Girls broke down how much it costs them to develop a single character in their Indie GoGo campaign?

Original characters cost $200,000 - $250,000, and the game's total budget was about $1.7 million. For a relatively small but well-crafted 2D fighter on PC and Console.

Whilst I'm sure there are examples, it often feels like a lot of the times people point at a company with "Plenty of Capital", they don't seem to realise that if that company invested fully themselves without getting money from some external party (publisher, bank loan, kickstarter), they'd bankrupt themself in the process.

Also, a successful kickstarter, while not a guarantee, is a good indicator of public interest for actual investors.

Need to go down to Derry tomorrow about my eye, the likely result being some injections, into my eye. Blech.

Depression is silly.
I'd disagree... It's pretty bad, and can be horrible. Crippling, really.
Talvieno, is this a transient thing? Then cling to the thought that it'll pass. If it's not, don't do that - we don't want you killing yourself, now, do we?

I don't disagree with this--fully agree, but I say that it can be overcome.

Personal experience with a very bad case here, speaking.

I hope Markiplier doesn't go down the PDP route. Sometimes I wonder, there have been... a lot of annoying jump-cuts in the recent videos, as well as just annoying yelling and just like "Look at me being stupid guiz!" stuff. :/

Is he even actually gud? I heard some good things about him, watched a video about Oculus Rift and I was just "meh.." and never watched again.
