"They may put some of this drug in the tea or in the ____ or in the tobacco cigarette"

What the hell does that say? Cockney? I cant make it out.

Just because it's not as bad as scaremongers would have you believe, I'd say you shouldn't turn to weed (or any substance, or food) to solve your problems.

I'll admit it right now, people belittling other people for not getting into a substance is a trigger for me.

In my view, anything that intoxicates the mind and leads to reduced cognitive skills is bad. Of course, this logic extends to alcohol as well-I don't see the need of something which, much like drugs, can get addictive, costly, cause pain and imper judgement; and this is just for a short lived buzz which isn't necessary for life, nor real, wholesome enjoyment.

Also, I think it says "Cookies," though I can't be sure.

Just realised. It says "Cook pot"  :P

Have you heard about this thing where every human on earth becomes paralysed and vividly hallucinates for around 6-8 hours a day every day?

That's hardly a rational argument. Unlike drugs, sleep is necessary for survival.

I think he means anything that does so more than things everyone puts into their bodies. He's not arguing against sleep, and the existence of sleep isn't a good justification for taking drugs.

You said 'anything'. Come on, that one was far too easy.
But fine, what about the bit where doing things that helps you survive but also sometimes things that don't causes people to experience a rush of various drugs produced in the brain that can well cause a lack of cognitive skills?

In that case, it would be fine if everybody took drugs. Moral conflict resolved.

Based on my experiences, including watching friends drop out of school from various substance abuse, here's my reaction to stuff:

"I like this substance, it's fun" : Good for you!
"You should try it" : No thanks.
"You NEED to try it": Now I'm getting annoyed
"You're doing something morally wrong / You're hurting yourself by not trying it" : All I hear is "I need to validate my lifestyle by forcing others to adopt it!"

And ultimately unsustainable, damaging, and uneconomical. I prefer to think of the future, as well as the present. Saying things like "It's fun!" could lead many young people to participate-as the young tend to be more susceptible. This will effect them adversely. They will not look for healthy pursuits, but look instead to weed. They will spend their money on it, waste their study time on it and lose a future. Simply better to not risk it.

If they're caused in the brain, they're deemed by natural selection to be necessary for survival. Anger is drug related. It also causes problems, and shortens life. And I admit, there was perhaps a slight mis-wording in my first sentence, quickly rectified in later lines, however.
