It's not paranoia if something is actually wrong. You're fine, and your parents are being dicks.

Eh.

They're pretty chill, just I tend to exaggerate a lot when I talk and emphasize the negative.

If they were as bad I as I make them out to be I'd probably post more about them :P

In other words, I'm terrible with talking about people :P

Pnx

Got my last quiz back... 17/25.. basically consistent with all the rest of them, if I don't do very well on my next test, I think my chances of getting a good grade are less than optimistic.

I'm feeling so incredibly depressed and demoralised by this. I really don't feel the least bit capable of doing school work right now...

Thank you brain, I love the way you respond to failures by making future success less likely.

Why would a 17/25 make you sad? :/

Mm... not sure what system Pnx is working under, but here that would be a (just barely) failing grade, most of the time. Equivalent to a very high D, where it takes at minimum a C to pass in most cases.

And yeah, it's not the easiest of things, for most folks, to get to the point where poor performance in a particular incidence (or even series of them, or overall) isn't a demoralizing thing. Despite th'fact that demoralization just makes it worse :-\

... chin up and all that, Pnx, best y'can. Do what'cha can to pass, and worry about performing well once the minimum's hit. Seemed to help me, anyway. Not that it helps much if you can't internalize it, but... best wishes, et al.

Oh. It'd be a 6.8 here, while you only really need a 5.5

Of course a 6.8 is not great, but not really bad either.

God, fucking evernote. I hate fucking evernote so bloody fucking much. Hate. Fucking hate.

Why do you have to be the closest thing to decent on offer.

Why did google, the only one who ever offered note-taking software intended for actually taking notes, have to shut down said software.

Arrrrgleblarghle

I'm basically having a massive stress freakout in the middle of my job because of the COMPLETE INABILITY of Evernote to do any of the shit I actually need it to do.

I DON'T WANT A PIECE OF FUCKING SCRAPBOOKING SOFTWARE

I WANT TO WRITE SOME FUCKING NOTES

* GlyphGryph is seriously on the verge of tears at work because he can't figure out how to do anything like this in evernote:

Ahahahahah here government pass for most subjects is 30%. 30%. Fortunately, most universities'll only take you with over a 60.

Totally unrelated sad to this thing.

I can't play Sim City 4 without pirating because for some reason my laptop doesn't have an internal disc drive :(

Well, regardless though, my parents did say they were planning on getting an external one so it might be fixed soon.

If piracy is a problem for you, you can always get it on Steam.

Eh.

Piracy isn't a problem and more of something that I prefer not to do unless I can't get it otherwise.

I've pirated a few old and new games before, however none of them are on my hard drive anymore because I've either lost interest or actually have the game itself. That being said, I personally would prefer to pirate it, however I'm skeptical of most torrents due to the prevalence of virus ridden torrents, so for now, I'll keep away from the search bar.

Just so you know, sim city 4 dislikes multicore PCs, so you should make sure that there's just one core assigned to the game.
If you add -Intro:off -CPUCount:1 to the shortcut's path you'll fix most of the stability issues, and skip the intro.
