Columbia? Or where are you, C-pac?

Edit: There have been simulations recently (ten years?) that show there is a threshold for sea-changes in corruption. Where you can have a huge block of corrupt people, but just a few high profile (in the simulation, that's "people" with a lot of friends and who everyone else at least knows of) and irregular (if the simulation's corruption-cleaning part was too regular, then the other entities could follow the pattern and not as many entities became uncorrupt) arrests, pretty much every entity in the simulation became clean, as their perceived chances of being caught outweighed the perceived benefits of cheating.

I'm not sure if I can find the article I read again, let me try.

Edit: Here. I might have mis-remember'd certain things, but the gist is there~

Generally if your heart goes, it's due to a pre existing condition or you overdid it well beyond the point of being remotely sensible.
Generally the exercise most people do won't be enough to send you into cardiac arrest.
It's a complicated one. It was sudden cardiac arrest, or SDS (Most popularly known as SIDS).
It can pretty much kill anyone, but it's most well known for killing athletes or fitness freaks, because those people really shouldn't die.
SIDS is babies dying in their sleep.
Yeah, the I is short for Infant.

Saw my ex today, going by in a car.

It's beeen two damn years, and I still reacted strongly. Maybe I should see to it that my love-life no longer resembles that of  an amoeba.

Think he's in Mexico?

Here in SA we have a near equivalent of the rapiditos, but we just call them taxis (or minibus taxis, if we're feeling posh), and they're not owned by the police. The reason they're a problem? If you see one, the odds are extremely good it's:
a) speeding
b) not roadworthy
c) overloaded
or all of the above. Also, whenever the government/municipality/whatever tries to implement another transport system, they go on strike, sometimes violently.

Our police actually seem much nicer than American police though. After all, we only convicted ~135 of them of rape/murder last year in this province.

So I'm going to be homeless again. I failed my classes and lost the stipend from my parents, and all because of stupid social anxiety. I don't have a laptop, so working on my game while I'm on the street is out of the question. Really, nothing is going the way it needs to, and I pretty much feel like killing myself every day. I don't know what to do, since getting a job would require me to get over my social anxiety for longer periods than going to classes did, and getting a job that lets me work from home requires time a qualifications I don't have. I just can't seem to do anything right...

Yeah, sorry to hear things are going so badly. Have you talked with anyone in the school about some kind of second chance, assistance for students, things like that?

I empathise a lot... the only thing that let me get over my social anxiety enough to go to classes was having a friend escort me there to keep me from freaking out too much.

D:

Any friends you could stay with temporarily? Parents won't offer at least some support besides just leaving you homeless? You can't talk with the school about the situation? I can't really give any other helpful advice.

Just don't die or anything, dying is bad for your health. You're too cool for dying.

I hope you'll be alright~ Is your previous homelessness the reason for your nickname? If you don't mind my curiosity...

I'm so sorry to hear that. But I hope you get better - social anxiety is treatable, after all. That I can say from personal experience.

Where are you in the world?

Reason I ask is CBT can be reasonably effective in helping deal with social anxiety (or anxiety in general) assuming you can get a doctor to get you into it. Cost may be an issue depending on where you are, and waiting times too. Alternatively, you can do it yourself, there's lots of online stuff kicking about, though obviously if you don't have a computer, that becomes more difficult.

Equally so, if you can convince your school that you failed because of a medical reason (eg social anxiety) they might let you either resit things or give extensions for things too, which might aid things a bit. You may need something from a doctor to confirm this to them though.

Hopefully you can figure something out though. Social anxiety is a bad mofo.
