I enjoy cooking and don't mind cleaning up afterwards, but don't have all that many options on what to cook due to price and family member's dislikes.

Wait.

There's people over 10 years old that don't wash their clothes?
I wasn't entirely serious :P

Although I didn't ever wash my clothes as kid. That's what parents are for~

I love cooking and I don't mind cleaning afterwards, but I hate eating alone.
... if there's one downside to eating with company, it's that it's rarely acceptable behavior to lick your plate clean when there's other people around.

Even get the occasionally annoying commentary for chasing down rice grains or whatever. Plate must be clean, damnit! Paid for that food, and m'gonna' eat it.

This is why bread should be served with all meals. Or something similarly absorptive. Sop sop sop the juices, something something morning~

Sounds like you need better company, friend.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Indeed!

I clean my plate whenever I want to.

Quote from: Chesterton
For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Love cooking, love eating, and I'm just lazy when it comes to cleanup. Which reminds me, I should go do that.

Guys this is the sad thread. How am I supposed to sustain myself if there isn't sad in here?

In other news I have to prepare a five minute speech about lobsters with three sources. It's not so bad in itself. But.

I reeeaalllyy don't want to.

It seems like there's a lot of things you can't really talk about, and then when you go to your only recourse--to make art out of it--people will call you moving and brave or whatever.

(Not me personally, but you know)

I mean, really?  Sometimes the only reason why it's art is because people wouldn't put up with you talking about it any other way.

I am sad because I want to play this, and also because I love airplanes, and also because I am having trouble with one of my projects, ARGH.

AC3 made me sad.

But that was more to do with the ending for Desmond essentially making the entire series redundant, and the way they decided to take Connor's story in the last four or so missions.

Only after the last four missions. It was pretty good until that point, and I'm saying that as someone who didn't like the games.

I still have no idea why I played every game, with the exception of Revelations, to the end though.
