Here's what you do: Is there any physical way for you to determine it? Is there any way this could possibly come up again in the future? If the ansers are no, they simply stop caring. It doesn't matter. A rabbit may have died, but there is absolutely nothing you can do if it ad, and you are causing yourself unnecessary pain. It's how I avoid stress, I simply remind myself that stressing does not help, and given that there is nothing in my power to do, and I'll never know, I might as well assume the best scenario.
