I'm slowly going blind. I might actually loose all vision later on in life...
I honestly don't know how to cope with this fact.

Hopefully science will have a cure for blindness within this century.
If not, at least cybernetic enhancements would be a probability.

...Seriously though, that's awful. :-\ Sympathies... I'm not sure how I'd cope with losing my sight.
I get paranoid enough as it is that I might have inherited my dad's colour blindness.

Electronic 'eyes' for the blind have been a thing in development for a while, and there's already prototypes. They're not good enough to read with, but they're better than nothing.

Considering how far ELECTRO-EYES have come in the last few years, ten years is a long time for ELECTRO-EYES to develop more.

Being lovesick sucks. I'm feeling tired, my stomach hurts, and I have a constant headache. It's not even being too nervous to talk to her, I simply haven't seen her at all this week. It has me slightly worried.

I think I remember reading something about how the FDA approved the use of prostetic eyes or something similar.

@Akura: wow...well, just confess then. If it gets you that sick and you aren't afraid to talk to her...confess. If she says yes awesome, if she says no come back here for us to give you a good old Man-Bro hug of 'Life still goes on!'
@Blind issue: Don't worry, if you have a few years they'll definitively get new treatment for eyes. It's practically a google click away now....

“Well,” he said. “We’re in the Forgotten hunting grounds I take it. Your screams just woke them up early. Congratulations, Lyara.”
“Do something!” she whispered, trying to keep her sight on all of them at once.
Basileus clapped his hands once. The Forgotten took a step forward, attracted by the sound.
“There, I did something. I clapped. I like clapping,” he said. -The Investigator And The Case Of The Missing Brain.

I know that, the problem is she hasn't been around to tell her. I'm not as afraid of the pain of rejection as I am of the pain of never knowing, since I've already felt the latter all summer.

I feel the same way about my long distance girlfriend most of the time. Sure we talk every day, but not being able to even give her a hug just kills me. Sometimes I get even more depressed about it than I do about my normal life.

Speaking of normal life, let me walk you through my morning.
Time to go to class. Can't find my hoodie. Spend a full 20 minutes looking for it before giving up and putting on my big bulky jacket instead. At this point I've given up on being early enough to get my books, like I've been trying to do for the whole week, but I figure I can still make it to class and take some notes. Get out to the bus stop, the bus is a block away. Reach in my pocket and find out my bus card isn't in it. Rage and stomp and pout in public and curse myself for being dumb. Come back home dejected and depressed. See my hoodie the minute I walk into my room. Headdesk for 20 minutes.

It keeps coming up on these forums. I imagine that its search results have been boosted by the CCS.

I'm guessing that it's referencing ACTC's embryonic stem cell clinical trial for macular degeneration. The word is that the preliminary results are quite promising
