I get the loneliness part, but in a different sense. By the end of the day, having friends can accentuate my loneliness as opposed to alleviating it. I know mine cannot be a singular, unique turmoil, but with whom can I share it? To whom can I relate my peculiar trains of thought, my odd motions and gait, my unpopular ideas? I'm left, as always, to nurse my feelings.

Stoicism sucks. So does melodrama. I just don't know any more.

THUMBS UP KINSPIRIT
I used to feel like this a lot, less so these days. I stopped feeling quite that bad about with the realisation that with someone willing to spend the time and effort listening to you long enough, and with the right words, you can really explain pretty much anything to anyone.
Of course some people will be easier to explain things to than others, and finding someone who wants to listen, and being able to find the words is often easier said than done. But still, it's something that's been reassuring to me.

-snip-
Well, I have/used to have most of that stuff, down to the nighttime walks. Mood swings, internal turmoil, putting on a façade, etc.Only difference is that I usually go for 'outgoing likeable ass' instead of 'rock you can lean on'.

Thing is: I'm bipolar, and take 1200 mg Lithium each day to control that desire to jump off a bridge.

Okay, that's an exaggeration, but have you tried seeing a psychiatrist? It won't do you any harm, and it might help tremendously - I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be sitting here today if I hadn't.

I got a whole load of math work done last night, and when I went to sleep I had some rather pleasant mathematical dreams (I blame Vector's glorious corrupting influence). Now I'm getting hung up and my brain is all non-functional again. Ugh.

It's what happens when you go to sleep thinking about limits, and memories, then you're wondering about the limits of memories, and somehow along the way this ends in you having a semi-lucid dream about conversing with your own brain on the subject of the limitations of your brain to store memories, and all possible memories your brain can store.

I was concerned that the more things I learned the more I would forget. My brain was basically trying to reassure me through showing me various memories I hadn't thought about in a long time, and telling me that these memories are never truly forgotten, they simply blur together with other memories. Since the same pathways used to store one memory will be used to store many other memories, they're all connected, and that the same way there's an infinite amount of numbers surrounding any one number, there's an effectively infinite amount of memories that can be stored in one person's head.

Not sure how true any of this really was, but it was a cool dream nonetheless.

From what I recall and what some cursory reminding-searching has been popping up, the chances of any of us actually running out of physical space, so to speak, for memory in our lifetime is pretty darn slim, barring some serious lifespan extension coming up. More worrisome is varying sorts of damage and degradation, really.

So. No need to worry about running out, or replacing stuff you've already learned as you learn new stuff (at least, like... unintentionally or something. You more or less don't have to pay memory to get more memories.). Sometimes you can't get rid of crap you learned yesteryear even if you bloody want to.

My best friend forgot he said he was going to hang out with me today. I'm feeling kind of sad as a result. I think I might call him up to see what his deal is.

Aaand I was just reminded how I'm not good at anything. Fucking wonderful.
Maybe I'll have forgotten or stopped caring so much after sleeping.

Fucking fuckerfuck I need to stop procrastinating.
I did that the past three days.
And with sleeping, I mean laying awake in bed not wanting to get up.
