Okay, listen up.  Here's my dream.

I'm going to spend the rest of this year mostly making money, learning to drive, taking care of all the little things I couldn't do in college, and studying French really intensively.  Then I'm going to spend a year taking graduate courses at Berkeley and working part-time; over the summer I'll have a job, study hard so I can ace the math GRE and do some translating stuff, in the fall it's back to class and grad school applications.  And in the new year I'm going to fucking move to France and work there and see all sorts of amazing shit, and then I'm going to go to NYU.  And be hugely successful.  And see all sorts of amazing shit.

Link sort of relevant.

Thanks for all the hugs, folks, and hugs all around *hughughughug*.  I'm going to be okay, but I need somewhere for my work ethic to go that isn't just "fuck around for two years."  So yeah.  I'll do something.
So. When are you going to find time to write more books in all that, huh?

Hahaha.

Actually, I'd be working on another two books of translations and some creative writing right now if I weren't pushing to finish an invention before someone else thinks of it.

And so it was that Vector patented the time machine in 500 BC, and had plenty of time to do everything while both writing dozens of books and translating original works from the Library of Alexandria.

And I suspect it will become increasingly common, simply because the year most car companies are giving for "we will be making self driving cars" is 2017.
Wow, they're actually trying to do that?

America: We need driverless cars apparently. Actually thinking about the amazing drivers in my state yes. We do in fact need those cars.

I totally didn't just walk right into a wall. This totally didn't bend the frames of my glasses to the point where I need to get them re-adjusted. Nope, did not happen. Not in a million years.

I ate too much ice cream and now I feel sick and I have a headache and I feel a bit nauseous :(

Also I shut down my DFMP/DFTerm server for RAM usage and VAC concerns... again.

Look on the bright side, too much ice cream is the best reason to feel nauseous, much better than being kicked in the balls.

Bleh. Minor, minor, but really rather surreal dream crapped out on me memory wise before I could really grab on to much (besides space monk dudes sacrificing themselves to maintain some kind of forcefield against space, I guess. It was one of about three planets visited during the dream.), which is particularly depressing/annoying in this case 'cause my brain was composing again. All I can remember is a partial lyric remnant that goes <something> <something> "with their bones". Dum da dum da with their bones, dumdada dumdada with their bones.

Then there was other bits, it was majestic and morose and I think about noble sacrifice and now it's pretty much all gone. Blaargh.

What do you mean it wasn't real? Samuel Colt made his first prototype revolver out of scrap wood. Was that not real?

I read that as, "it was majestic and moose", Frumpy.

... Just putting that out there.
