Ahhh.

Coming from him it's a loaded term, because what he means is the "I know better than you and I'm not listening to what you say, you don't deserve respect because you haven't earned any, sit over there because the adults are talking, punish punish punish" mode of authoritarian behavior.  Like... limiting autonomy for their own good, but partially in order to feed your own ego and allow you to enjoy the power structure.

I fracking hate those guys! I have to work with some kids a little bit down at taekwondo, and a couple have some shit they're going through... I need to keep reining in the people in charge and calling them on their shit. You don't tell a kid who's being bullied that he can't do anything right! Especially the second most senior black belt. If the kid isn't adorable, she's brutally hard on them when they're having problems doing something. And when they do need that little kick up the arse to get moving, the instructors ignore them! Hate, hate, hate those bloody idiots!

I liked working at walmart myself. But then, I did back room overnights and remod crew, back before both had their pay slashed so it was actually decent money for decent work with good people.

I hear many walmarts won't even pay their employees money at ALL anymore - now you have to use a special "pay card", and it costs you money to actually use it, so they pay you and then charge you money to spend what you've earned.

Yeah, they were trying to cycle in the pay cards while I was working there. I saw it and thought, "Why the heck would I want to do that?" And that was before I knew that they charged you for every single thing you did with it. No exaggeration: You're charged for withdrawing money with it, transferring money to your bank account, inquiring how much money you have on the card, and even for not using it. Those kinds of fees are crushing for someone who's trying to make it by on part time, minimum wage work.

Believe it or not, some companies actually make it worse than Wal-Mart, where at least it's optional. The payment card a requirement at Taco Bell and a few other companies unless you fill out a small pile of paperwork.

I think I'm bound for another depression bout within the next two weeks. I did the repeat exam, and did it quite well, except one monumentally stupid mistake that puts the entire thing into question. The worst part is that if I fail again it will once again be very close to the passing treshold which will make studying again for the exam all the more annoying.

But that's beside the point now, I've got all summer to waste on that crap so there's not real way around it, I'll deal with it eventually.

What really gets to me these days is that it's summer, it's freaking hot and there's a bunch of stuff I could do with my free time but don't have the mental strenght to bring myself to do any of them. Instead I spend some time studying before going back home to sit in awkward positions on the couch just to catch a bit of the internet connection we're leeching off the neighbours. And it's a shitty connection, and I have no idea what to do with it since I can't play much games, can't really download, so all I'm left is pointless forum browsing and the occasional YT video or something.

I could draw, but that's all half assed for some reason, really hating pretty much anything I make right now. Add to that yesterdays visit from the parents which furthered the whole hating everything and everyone and I'm pretty set to be in a foul mood for a while now.

Gah, I just wish I could get shitfaced and curse my stupid drinking ass for a day or two instead of pouting about and overthinking every single thing because I've got nothing better to do.

Man, feeling lonely again. I mean, I guess I'm getting better, I dated two girls so far this year, though nothing came out of either. I'm just bummed that it was like a little dream of mine to have a girlfriend to watch the Fourth's Fireworks with, but I still feel I haven't made any progress. Fuck, I feel more hopeless than ever. Learn to enjoy the stinging sensation. It makes you feel alive. Then, after a couple days, you can enjoy peeling off the excess skin. Make a game out of it, and try to get the biggest piece possible.

In all seriousness, though, I've never found any sort of lotion or creme to be effective in treating this sort of thing, and it's messy. And peeling skin is fun.
