I'm confused. Why is insulting someone going to persuade them to have sex with you?
It's called Negging, and the idea is that by insulting women you have established a positive rapport with you can cause them to become emotionally dependent upon your approval, and your approval should take the form of having sex with you.
It is exactly as bad as it sounds.
So...pretty bad? It doesn't make a lick of sense on paper/computer screen.
The PUAs believe in the concept of a sine wave-esq emotional flow that can be changed and manipulated by other people in order to make them susceptible to suggestion. Negging is one of several strategies that they employ, with the idea being that you send someone far into the negative in such a way that they'll wish to do things for you in order to be returned to the positive. "Things" pretty much always take the form of sex.
If you are wondering how I know all of this, get your head out of the gutter, I learned about it through my now ex-roommate trying to sell me on the concept. Repeatedly. Despite the fact that it never actually worked out for him.
Though my ex-roommate actually didn't believe Negging was any good, he believed in what he called Cresting, which involves alternating positive and negative comments over several hours, and then trying to convince the subject to have sex with you at the height of the positive comments. No less stupid, really.
