Thanks to a phrase on this thread I spent upwards of 5 hours on TVTropes. Admittedly a little small for me, since I used to go on 10-hour bines, but still.

I develop resistance to TvTropes in that my attention span refuses to pay attention to anything for 6 hours without it exploding at least once.


As such, I can usually get off with 1, 2 tropes max for I am off to do other things.

There was a post that was basically a litany of expletives without any other context (or words) in the Kerbal thread in Other Games that was scrubbed after I saw her as muted on the Mod Log. I'm assuming that there was further altercation that led to the ban.

If it's anything like her behavior in the IRC (been idling on it for a few afternoons recently) I'm not really surprised.

Some days she gets excessively drunk, starts calling everyone faggots and imploring several specific members on IRC to have sex with/love her. On other days, she goes on several paragraph self-loathing rants about how terrible she is, and how much she hates herself... and every effort to help, or make her feel better, or whatever just seemed to fuel her efforts to garner more sympathy, instead of actually addressing the responses, or actually talking about the underlying problems.

She's clearly not in a good place right now. Though it sucks to be cut off from a safe social space when life is being crappy... honestly, I think the ban might do her some good. She seems to be caught in a negative cycle, which participation in this community is enabling, rather than helping her address these problems. I hope that some ban time helps.
