There is a moderation log available for that purpose, at the top of this forum.

Oh yes, we also must remember to be politically correct! I really need to catch up with my knowledge of the various pronouns on here I need to use.

There was a post that was basically a litany of expletives without any other context (or words) in the Kerbal thread in Other Games that was scrubbed after I saw her as muted on the Mod Log. I'm assuming that there was further altercation that led to the ban.

Yes, just sweep it under the rug and pretend nothing happened! We're all perfectly happy here! Completely happy!
Hmm, you have a particular reason to be upset with the mods? Most of us don't exactly, protest, the way things are done. I mean after all, On the internet, you are either Authoritarian to keep it civil, or fall into 4chanian madness, and flagrant abuses like shock image posting become common.

I haven't noticed any real abuse of mod powers here, for the most part. Most of the time people are pretty chill and willing to overlook the occasional argument.

No, I have nothing against the mods. I just find it funny that everyone is worried that something bad will happen if we discuss why people get themselves banned. Can't we politely discuss why a member of the community did wrong, instead of forming some kind of cult of personality around them? I mean, everyone always acts sad someone got themselves banned when they probably repeatedly did something idiotic to get themselves banned in the first place.

You seem to think that empathy and addressing of wrongs are mutually exclusive things.

Dr Poo, though not my favorite flavor of shit, seemed like a pretty chill gal in general and I'm sorry she got herself kicked.  She seemed to have been going through some tough stuff.

Honestly, I'd assumed Misko was just trying to avoid starting another debacle, bans of long standing members are often a contentious issue.

On Dr Poo... Unfortunate, but not entirely unexpected. I've seen plenty that might have justified it in the past, however He/she/whatever has actually been improving in post quality (on average) recently.
