High school friend committed suicide today. That makes number two.
Oh my god... I'm so sorry.
I can't say I've known someone who committed suicide, but I know several people who have attempted it, (including me) and I know it's really hard on both them and their friends and family. It really sucks and I'm sorry you have to go through that.

meanwhile playing harvest moon while listening to this is strangely mesmerizing.

After spending 9 days in a Behavioral Ward, they changed their diagnosis from Schizophrenia/Bi-Polar Disorder to Psychosis/Mood Disorder after telling me I more then likely have multiple brain tumors. Got an MRI done, but it has to go through atleast 3 different doctors before it can be acted upon, nothing eases my headache, still having all sorts of weird visions and memory loss/distortion, and laying down only makes it all worse. (Pressure on head, probably because I sleep funny) Rant complete!

Just found out that Tim Samaras died in an Oklahoma tornado, along with his son Paul and driver Carl.

Damn shame. Tim was one of the most respected stormchasers around, was a huge help in gathering scientific data on tornados.

RIP man ;-;7. At least he died doing what he loved.

My mum had cancer twice of the breast. Shits... annoying, to say the least.

Multiple brain tumours, though, christ... Well, you must be scared shitless, but I mean if there's any point in history to get something that... ohgod, it's now, because we're pretty on the ball about that. I think, at least.

They're more then likely benign, so I could theoretically live with them. And unfortunately I deal with these situations with amusement, which scares other people.

Then you must be [emotion that you use in life-threatening or lifestyle-threatening situations] shitless.

Ruddy bastard. Think you're all high and mighty just cause you got some bloody brain tumors. Well not all of us can be so lucky!

You know what, I'm gonna go get my OWN brain tumors, just so you don't have a leg-up on me. How you like THEM apples, eh!?

The sads in this thread now...

I have to say that I'm sorry for Soli, Reudh AND scout.

Soli, your dad... seems a little off... (no offense intended)
Reudh, Christ, I don't even know anyone who's TRIED to commit suicide. So, so sorry.
Scout, best of luck.

And RIP Tim.

Well, the only consolation is that neither of them were especially close to me - but in both situations, I have close friends who were good friends / brother of theirs. However, I couldn't help the friend last night because I have exams to study for, and I can't go to the girl's funeral today because I have an exam at the same time as it.

Well, its nowhere near as bad as the above, but I went to see if city of steam's first open beta update would actually improve things, it didn't seem like it could get worse.

And then it did. Game seemed like it was pretty great in closed beta, now its a partially simplified pile of steampunk blandfulness compared to its previous state.

Defendant: "If the police don't have the rock, then how can they say I broke a window with it?"
Lawyer: "If there are bullets in somebody, then do they really need the gun to say he was shot?"
