No, it's really not the right flavor.  Like, expediate means you have some goal in mind that's being helped along, whereas this is just "the nearby theater is convenient to me," and the other one implies some sticking together whereas I really just want a noun form of the thing that happens when two things approach, with no other baggage riding along.

My 10 page paper is finally done! Now, all I have to do is the MLA citing and an evaluation of sources. Blurgh. Those can be done tomorrow.

So, AP Physics is next Monday. That's fine.
But AP Environmental Science and AP Computer Science is on the 22nd and the 23rd, and I think I don't hve a reasonable chance at being able to fully study for APES. What to do? :/ sigh.

I feel very much that I'm failing expectations. Makes me feel horrible Dx

My grasp of the English language is faltering. While the language is admittedly flawed, this is the language that I'm most skilled of, and it feels bad when you're losing your ability to form coherent, grammatically-correct sentences and paragraphs.

I have just one more paragraph.  I have an intense headache, and I want nothing more than to be done.  But once I finish, I have to go to bed, and then I have to get up and get ready to do this all over again.

I wish English were more flexible.  There are a lot of words I'd really like to import from French, like "convener" and "rapprochement" (to be convenient and a growing-closer-together, respectively), because I use these concepts almost constantly in my essays and it'd really help to have a single word for either.

(one page left~)
For "convener" I suppose you're stuck with using modifications of convenient or practical or whatever.

For "rapprochement", I don't know, maybe you want to use "convene"? *shrug*

I don't know, I usually find the extra baggage works to my favour when I'm composing sentences as it lets me put a poetical air to things, and lets me use metaphor and simile and such to describe things that don't have very good words.

Like clockwork, all of my regrets, shortcomings, failures and negative experiences just come rushing in to swallow me and make me wish I wouldn't wake up tomorrow. I've amounted to nothing in life and I'm so tired of forcing myself through a day-by-day existence, with no motivation or energy to do anything. I'm desperately lonely and have no one, yet only want to disappear and be forgotten.
Why are things so hard? I see people smiling, enjoying things and living, and yet I am here drowning amongst them, hating myself and hating those things that are out of my reach--things that I will never be able to reach.

I'm not sure why you're so certain you'll never be able to reach them.  One of the things that I found necessary for my own happiness was to discover that the world at large has certain ideas about which things will make me happy, and they are usually wrong.  When I started trying to please myself more and them less, things improved.

Finished.  Eight pages and a bit... now I just have to do the works cited tomorrow morning and mail 'er in.

In addition to what Vector said, I would advise against trying to appraise other's happiness so that you can compare it to your own.  Everyone has a facade.  Only people who deeply trust and value you are going to express their problems to you.  You don't truly know how happy anyone else is, and comparing what you feel on the inside to what they choose to display on their faces is never going to be healthy.

If you'll forgive me for putting in my two cents despite knowing exactly zip about you or your current life situation, and at the risk of making a massive ass of myself...

Try to focus on the problems and questions in your life that you can solve, even if they seem insignificant, because those seemingly-trivial issues might be part of what's holding you back from achieving your goals, even if the connection isn't immediately-obvious. Even if they aren't, every little bit of progress helps.

Also, what SalmonGod said. People naturally hide their troubles unless they feel that they should share them. What you see of people when they're walking down the street isn't indicative of what's actually going on with their lives. Having problems you don't know how to solve or goals you don't know how to achieve doesn't make you inferior in any way, if that's what you're feeling, and you don't have to feel guilty about it.

E: I apologise if I'm being overly-presumptious with this; I really only have my own experiences to go on, here.

This then is the great lesson of adulthood. You have one life, which is far too short to waste trying to live up to other people's standards. Live according to your own standards, live for your own happiness. (With the caveat of "try not to be a dick to others")

Sad part is that it took me 30+ years to figure that out.

Can't shake off this painful shoulder cramp/tendinitis/whatever. If by tomorrow it's not showing signs of improvement, I'm asking my trauma friend to give me a corticoid shot. I have a shift this sunday, and can't really afford sleep-fuckery.

To make matters worse, I developed a sore in my palate (Might or might not be related to the tetrazepam I took some days ago to try to ease up the shoulder pain) which hurts like hell if I eat anything solid. So I'm keeping to a dairy diet out of necessity.

I appreciate the advice and support, and I'm sorry for venting. I don't feel I can do much else, and it's embarrassing.

Must say I was a fatalist before, that I would be stuck in one place for all of my life. But then something happened. Something like a miracle, if I might add. The lesson here is nothing is impossible. You can reach it if you keep trying.

And I feel you, yeah. Not venting out your thoughts is very poisonous to your well-being. Hatred can drown your hopes, and keep you from doing anything.

It's too early to stop trying. Keep up the fight. You have to. :D
