Plus you've still got your anonymity... At least I hope you've still got it.
Well there was that story someone posted about using a girls name on gamefaqs and she found it.
Which is why you don't use people's real names. Plus that's sort of rude to do so without their permission.

Neh, you can call me Kenni.

I don't really see the issue, personally I don't feel I've anything to hide. I've posted my Facebook publicly in here multiple times, and I still haven't had a single issue. My facebook even publicly shows my e-mail and phone.

I can't help but feel it's like that old saying with animals, it's only going to hurt you if you're scared of it.

i always feel sad when i finish anime series, even if the ending itself is cheery. the one i've just watched managed to wrap the entire plot up nicely (and even fit a four minute outro) but now i'm enjoying the "well there'll be no more of that anymore" feeling which i would personally like to murder with a very big axe

why do i not feel this way with books or music or whatever other media, i do not understand this.

The "pick up baby" scene in a movie about Chinese baby adoptions.  I gave my 19 month old Legendary Smiler a big hug.

Stuck in an office supply store for 5 hours with no one to sell anything to or train. *sigh* only 1.5 hours to go.

Well, I'm not answering my phone for the rest of the day.

Everybody yells at me. Yes, there's something horrible going on in your life. Learn some damn emotional control so you don't scream at the one person in the world who is actually trying to help you. No, you are not the only person to have ever gone through this, nor are you the center of the universe. Chill.

Making my ears and head hurt is NOT helping you one bit. It is, in fact, hurting you, because now I have to deal with the literal headache you just gave me instead of fixing the freaking problem....

I don't care who is to blame. What I do care about is fixing "it," (whatever "it" is) and the whining ... ain't helping. All it's doing is chewing up time.

I pretty much have to cut people off, because if I don't, they will go on and on and on forever. This is time I could be using to either sleep or work on the problem: two very important things.

The problem appears to be emotional in nature. People are freaked the hell out most of their lives and they have little if any emotional intelligence. Having a fit and thrashing about while your car is balancing precariously over the edge of a cliff will hurt, not help you. Freaking out and talking when you are expressly told by a judge, lawyers, and police NOT to talk .... will not result in you digging yourself out of trouble. That digging you are doing is for your own grave.... For the love of God it is cliche' "You have the right to remain silent, let's hope you have the ability for your sake."

I do not understand the thing many people do where they think getting upset will get them what they want. Something wrong? Yell at someone until it is magically fixed somehow. ??? I do not get it. [shrugs]

My god, if people are nice to me.... The sheer amount of bending over backwards I will do for them should snap my spine....

I have no idea why I'm working so hard on this class-end project. The teacher never reads anything I write and just slaps a 100 on every assignment.

This makes me a little sad: People I know in real life use or know of my Minecraft texture pack and I've even met people for the first time who use it. This means these people either know or could easily find my online name.

Everybody I know in real life knows me as Japa. I never really understood the whole online anonymity thing myself.

The only reason I don't use my real name online is because I quite dislike it.

I don't mind sharing that my first name is Alice--some of my usernames include it.

EDIT: Also, collateral Touhou reference.

For me it's mostly because I have to watch what I say online. I can't vent in threads like this so much for example.

http://www.buzzfeed.com/skarlan/high-school-fires-teacher-after-her-partners-name-appeared-i

:( Her mother's obituary listed her partner's name next to hers in the place of a spouse' name....

Ah, Ohio, 19 years of teaching and students probably didn't even know she was gay.

"The Columbus Dispatch reports:

According to a contract between the Columbus diocese and the Central Ohio Association of Catholic Educators, teachers can be terminated for "immorality" or "serious unethical conduct." George Jones, a spokesman for the diocese, had no comment yesterday, saying personnel matters are confidential."

It actually is touching that some of the students and others are trying to reach out to get her job back, but the fact that it happened at all is somewhat amazing. How interesting that a poison pen letter can cost you a job. Think about that for a moment, do you hate somebody so much that you'd cost them the job they had worked at for nearly 2 decades. How lovely....

And for all the terrible things that have been said about her, she won't say that about the people screwing up her life.... Perhaps she's a better person than I for that one.

It's not surprising considering the order was given by the Diocese. The youngest you can get into a high-ranking position in the Catholic Church is late 40's, and this is very much an age-based thing. (As also demonstrated by the petition.)

I am perfectly willing to use my real name, Because A) It can't be used to identify me (I don't use my father's name, although it is for now my legal one. And he's actually a well-known genocide denier, so Googling him would be easy), and B) There are maybe a 50,000 people with my name.

My name? Dimitri Popović.
