Mint juleps do not taste as good as I thought they would. Man, I built that drink up so much and just got disappointed.

That fits just about every alcoholic drink I've ever had. Man, I'd be a blast at parties if I ever went to one :/

I often have that issue with food. Something can smell and look absolutely delicious, but as soon as it touches my tongue, all of my desire for it is lost. Example being "orange beef," a recipe my mom used occasionally for beef cooked in sauce usually used with orange chicken. Absolutely revolting according to my mouth.

I have kinda a similar thing, where I'll be super hungry, but as soon as I try to eat anything I lose my appetite.

I ... don't. With regard to food I am a bottomless pit. I'll eat anything at least once.

Oh, no worries there. He's been dead 15 years or so now. He was maimed in an industrial accident some years later and wound up with Parkinson's before he died. Probably helped with the whole "acceptance" thing when life itself began punching the fucker in the face on my behalf. Karma is SRS BSNS.

That's no reason to not punch him in the face.

Might be a bit spongey, though.

*sigh*

I wish I could write good essays when not stressed out of my mind.  I'm about to go do some stuff to induce a state of stress and panic, because I want to write this sucker tonight.

And here I've been trying to do the exact opposite. I've been trying to tone down the stress levels so I'm better able to focus...
