I've got to do this presentation tomorrow, but I'm having trouble getting myself to sit down and prepare for it... Ugh.

My back and neck are fucking killing me.  I need to graduate, and then get a paycheck so I can go back to taking yoga classes.  This is ridiculous.

At least my mom owns like a billion shitty yoga DVDs, so I can just use those in the post-graduation interim.

Also I have three final papers to write in three weeks and a final exam to study for, which means I'm going to spend about a billion years reading texts I really want to have nothing to do with.

I couldn't deal with that level of work to save my life.

I'm having enough trouble getting myself to do this dumb as hell presentation stuff.

Lulz, I'm currently on volume 3 of a ~2500 page Chinese novel (on which I'll be writing a 20-page paper), and really need to try to finish reading by the end of tomorrow.  I can't deal with this level of work to save my life.

I would be okay with monthly fees if they were lower than the average price of a game o.O
At most, EvE is ~$15 a month, much less if you buy large blocks of time. It's also possible to buy gametime with in-game currency via "Pilot Liscence Extensions," which somebody has to buy with real money and put on the in-game market (this is the only way to spend real cash to gain advantage in the game).

How in the hell did 5 hours of work make me feel like a 12-hour shift in the factories? I stood around and did basically nothing (I sold one printer. One. For fuck's sake.) for 5 hours, but my back is killing me.

Ugh. Can't wait to graduate and get a job with health insurance.

Monthly fees... I get nervous paying for a game. I don't want to have to spend constant amounts of money just to play.
This.
Incidentally this is why I play forum games on Bay12. Free!

Dream of the Red Chamber or Romance of the Three Kingdoms?

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

Dream of the Fucking Red Chamber, fortunately, though I'm also planning to read The Water Margin, The Plum in the Golden Vase, Journey to the West, and Romance of the Three Kingdoms over the next few years.

Actually, this is sort of good for me.  Bracing work that makes me think "ah, I'll never complain about novel length again."

Try reading the uncut version of The Stand. Then you'll never complain about novel length again for sure. Reading it during lunch, every study hall, and before the start of classes it still took me the better part of a year to finish. Around 3000 pages, as I remember it.

Well, you know... that particular novel is downright pornographic :P

Longest time spent reading has got to be Moby Dick.  I thought I would never finish, and that was only 650 pages.

I know. That I somehow remembered that having never read it is why I decided to comment.

Only about a thousand pages according to wikipedia (though obviously page size would adjust page count)... about 500k words, going by some cursory searching. RotK is ~800k (or slightly more than 50% larger than The Stand, uncut). Couldn't find one quicklike for Dream of the Red Chamber (though it's only coming out at about 350 pages, paperback. I'd guess around 2-300k words.).

... I've read fanfiction that was over a million words for a single work <_< >_>
