Man I can totally understand the computer falling apart greivances, I was just getting on here to bitch about my computer actually sounding louder after I've just cleaned it.

I should record the sounds my computer makes one of these days.

Whenever I record audio on my machine, I have to run it through a filter to remove the grinding sound coming from of the fan on my power supply.

Our ELEVEN year old XP, which isn't in use anymore, works fine.

Its fan makes only a little more noise than it used to when we first got it, as in not much.

The sound has honestly made me consider trying for a liquid immersion computer. From what I hear they're more energy efficient, quieter, and don't need to have all the fluff cleared out of them periodically.

Wouldn't liquid-immersion computers be more prone to catastrophic breakdown(more moving parts + water near electronics), be harder to upgrade, and also heavy? O_o

No, you use non-conductive oil in which your motherboard/cpu/power supply/graphics card/whatever else is in your computer, is literally immersed. The liquid acts as a big ol' heat sink, and then you use heat exchanges, pumps, or whatever else to keep the liquid cool.

I've got a pre-calculus test tomorrow, it's the final test of the grade cycle and will determine whether I get an A or B this cycle. I have a handy-dandy review worksheet for everything to be covered in the test.

I cannot work up the motivation to even start it yet and yet I cannot do anything else with the knowledge that I should do the review...which when I try to start, my head says "lulnope" and finds a distraction.

As a result I've wasted most of my time at home from high school tonight dicking around on the computer rather than doing something "productive" like I was planning on: guitar, drawing, meditation, research, stuff like that. This makes me feel worse because I'm "wasting" my leisure time.

Dropped  my laptop this  morning . My backup monitor is working alright, but the keyboard I got  has a tiny  USB plug and my  laptop  has  really inset ports . Onscreen keyboard for the time   being .

The annoying-est part is that I hate overusing the   mouse  and therefore  use keyboard shortcuts for everything . Hunting and pecking for windows+D -> alt+f (firefox) -> ctrl+bookmark # is weird . Praise the  gods for Speed Dial, though.
