Well, you know.  That's how things go.  I'm all right.  Getting pretty used to this.
No, actually, I'm not okay.  Whatever.
I'm so tempted to make some kind of "I'm worried about you on account of the sadness, but I'm even more worried about you contradicting yourself five minutes apart, that's so unlike you" joke. But I'll spare you.

My condolences.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Bluh. Condolences Vec. Can't really offer anything more n'that, but... yeah.

Own sadness is that I've apparently entered into another "no sleeping longer than three hours, no sleeping at all for four or five hours after waking up" period. Kinda' miserable. Hard to synch up with normal schedules, which makes other things more troublesome. I continue to kinda' hate sleeping. Dreams are alright. Rest of it could kindly bugger off.

you know guys, i've been rather hesitant to post my opinion on things (a main reason why i don't frequent GD much) but a discussion in a thread i won't even point out simply made me sad. 2liberal4me, 2newleft4me.

Well... I mean I would like to think that bay12 is open minded enough to accommodate any political alignment, but in general by chance most of us seem pretty left wing.
That isn't to say everybody here is, but the general trend seems to go that way.

While I agree with Max White, a significant minority of Bay12ers lean right.

I tend to not weigh in on any political discussions, either.
I wouldn't describe myself as leaning Right, though... Uh... I really don't know how I would describe my views. :-X Yoinkish Hardliner?

I wouldn't call it a significant minority. According to the political alignment threads we've had, it's under 10% in GD.

I'm absolutely fine with right wingers being under represented in any group I identify with.

Unrelated: 20 tickets to go and see The Who just arrived by post.  Typos are deadly.

I propose a Calm and Cool Conservative Discussion thread. Heck, I'd have to improve my thread's title alliteration to match that. And once a year we can send representatives from each thread to debate to the death.

Had to put down a previously good Pandora channel. It started playing shitty generic rock instead of Ghost in the Shell music, at which point I know it was time to start anew.

Ugh, don't remind me. They passed through my town on this tour and I missed them.

My parents have decided to change the password on the router and cut off my ADSL line
Its a punishment that will last for an indefinate period of time.

My phone will also have its subscription cancelled. That means that when this month ends i will have no access to the internet.

I have decided to give up my fight for keeping my only hobby and contact to the outside world, my only virtue and the only thing that keeps me from killing myself.
I cant fight any more. I dont want to.

Theu say its no punishment and only to shake off my socalled addiction and to earn some respect to my parents. But all they do is hurt me and make me lonely.
