Is everyone sick? I'm sick as well. I'd expect this in January, not March...

I also feel kinda sick. I thought it was post-booze malaise yesterday, but it seems to be continuing. That sucks.

It seems to be a year for deaths in the family. We've had one this year, plus the death of a family friend, and a death in one of my friend's family.

My condolences.

Thanks.  I can't say we were close, but he was very important to me.

Ah... well.  So it goes.

Her: "Don't you want to be saved? [somewhat shocked] You'll end up in Hell if you don't...."
Me: "Madam, so long as you're not in Hell, I shall gladly burn forever. The suffering would be less."
*applause*

Also, you really need to hire a bodyguard. A short one, with lots of chest hair. I know a guy, you know...

I've found myself seriously contemplating how long I could make my savings stretch if I simply quit working. It's not even that my job is terrible, but I'm just in a mood where spending even a single second not doing something that I actually want to be doing is almost physically painful. I'm sure that this mood will pass, but I'll be slightly more miserable than normal until it does.

Yeah sometimes things that normally don't bug you too much just suddenly become crushing and you can't shut it off in your mind as easily as you would like it to.

I'm there right now.  That policy I've been complaining about?  I just learned Friday that they put it into effect earlier in the main office.  That location is now severely understaffed.  So apparently the executives fully intend to follow through and sabotage their own operation out of whatever stubborn or mean streak has possessed them lately.  After the nightmare that place has been this past year, this has just got my hatred boiling over so much that I spend every second on the clock thinking about how much I want to leave.  The thought of going back tomorrow has cast dread on me all day.

*vague shrug* Presumably they're just killing their workforce for some reason. Folks that actually have some clue about cause are likely either not going to say a damn thing or blatantly lie about it if word ever goes public.

So. Basically. It is unknowable. Without higher level information access, anyway. Which will probably never be accessible, or only come out in a distorted form that shifts blame on some scapegoat. Go go corporatist dystopia tropes, whee! Why the hell are these people pulling them out when we don't even have the matrix or hookerbots yet!?

Salmon should secretly record someone on the policy and why it is the way it is, then "accidentally" leak it to the internet.

Sad: I'm slightly hung over. Happy day after st. Patrick's day, all.

Breaking things off with GF #2. Disappointed, thought we had good chemistry. But after 3 solid weeks of coming up with lame excuses of why she couldn't be available for me to take her out to dinner...yeah. Don't have time for that BS.
