You could host meetings at the same place as the Hermit's association.

I think they had enough material for probably two seasons.

They could have easily done 3 or 4 long seasons (20+ episodes each) if it were not for serenity. There was more they could do with the reavers, more they could do with rivers plotline, the entirety of Books plotline that only ever got hinted at.

Nah, I can think of like 3 other instances of that happening. Two of them involving myself :P

Well if we use 60s peoples logic(i.e no social interaction can occur on the internet, net friends are not real, etc.), forever aloners could unite on the net.

But for us and our meatspace/cyberspace perspective, yesh. Impossible.

Another lonely valentine to crown the failure that is my life.

Also, another lonely Valentine's Day. Woooo. :/
Forever-Aloners unite?
We can say we're in a club, and participate by eating cake and playing video games with no social interaction whatsoever during the meetings.

If we have a designated meeting hall, no one must show up, just stay home and eat cake and play video games. If anyone does show up, they're an idle dwarf and need to go haul rocks. If anyone shows up, they can't meet any other members, otherwise it starts the paradox.

Personally, I'm going to put my woes and self pity behind me with lots of sweets and playing games. first up: Pokemon Manly Pink. Sounds fitting for V-day.

Trying to obtain Secret of Mana on ebay has ended badly, with no copies for less than $50. Annoyingly, there are several copies of the Japanese version for $10.

Another example of an unexplored Firefly plotline you probably didn't know about:
Inara was slowly dying of a non-communicable but uncurable illness. She took drugs to slow the progression of the disease, which also slowed her aging, but no doubt had negative side-effects. Both these things were hinted at in the dialogue, but never explored. Maybe the Firefly Comics will get to that... they're already dealing with Book's story.

But yeah, the show died several seasons before its time, and it's a damned shame.

Just to be perfectly clear, Sirius does have a companion star. It was discovered last century.

Dammit. That show could have gotten so much cooler.
