Well, at least Hans here didn't get hauled off.

But seriously dude, you really need to go to those classes if your continued freedom is at stake >:|

He missed them because of how far away they are and how early they are in the day. And his ride for that day buggered off so he could not get there in time.

My mom threatening to disown me if I go through with a decision. I sorta expected it but... yeah. Still doesn't seem real for some reason.

My ride for that day was the person who went to prison.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I shouldn't feel this way but.. I kinda don't want to say. It should be obvious from that thread where I made a fool of myself though :/

Today (or technically yesterday) was the second day of class in nearly three years, and also first day for my precalculus class, I'm really going to have to do some serious revision, but I'm kinda doubting my ability to do it. Also the other horrible class I'm taking continues to be horrible.

Indeed, and I'm grateful. I know a lot of monsters and could be classed as one sometimes; I'm glad that you won't become one.

As somebody who has studied software, as an interesting note: you can get 100% for projects that aren't 'finished'
I have handed in programs that weren't yet functional, but because the code that was being assessed was all done well, I scored really well, as opposed to other people who had a functional program that was a total mess internally.

First thing you need to do is look at where your marks come from, and then get that done. If you're a film student and then want to see your use of different shots, fuck a decent script or effects, you get those angles! Chem student and they want to see your maths? Write up the details of the prac later and go straight for the results.

Always focus on what they want to see.
