Girl at work had me wrote up for "threatening" her while I was attempting to make a joke. She later said (in the meetings with management) she felt threatened  because of my "sniper eyes."

Gah.  That is so stupid.

I'm struggling to comprehend the exact shade of stupid that is. Perhaps too much to even crack wise about it.

I dunno, I would feel pretty threatened if someone showed me a box full of sniper's eyes.

@Footjob, you can microwave most grains I've tried pretty easily through the microwave, even if they aren't packaged for it.

I don't blink much, and I tend to look directly in someone's eyes when speaking to them. I also have a naturally passive face, which doesn't show much emotion unless I make a deliberate effort. I assume that's what she meant.

There is more and more evidence that I might be scary, or at the very least intimidating. Might explain why people so seldom talk to me.
You do come off as rather forward and... abrasive? (Maybe too strong of a word) here, though I dunno how that translates to real life.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

You seem unafraid of posting strong opinions is what I mean. That can be intimidating depending on the context. (and notably an internet forum is a very different context from real life)

It translates to a certain degree. If a person meets someone who is very opinionated and makes it known, who isn't hesitant in speaking up, it can trigger a strong response. It depends on the other person; some might respond by clamming up, others by agreeing, and still others by arguing. All generalities, of course, but the point is that aggressive assertiveness can come off as fairly intimidating.

In any case, this has little to do with the events I am referring to, which have nothing to do with my aggressive assertiveness at all. When I go running, kids will quickly hide behind their parents when I pass by. The youngest child of a family I'm friends with didn't speak to me for years once I got tall, attained my ULTIMATE BARITONE, and permanent five o'clock shadow. He literally just clammed up one day and wouldn't talk to or look at me, and still seems to avoid me. People dart out of my path and have frozen up at accidental eye contact. I've made people scream in terror by sneezing (no, really).

It's weird, man.

Eh, some people just get that intimidation going on. I quite enjoy it, but YMMV.
