Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

My braces are on. This hurts a bit, and for the next few days, every meal will probably cause agonizing pain.

It's actually a lot better now. Eating is hard, but if i'm not eating it's fine.

Yeah, it doesn't hurt so much any more.  I just wish my mouth would stop bleeding profusely.

Stopped smoking, been without a cigarette for 24 hours now. Slight headache, but no other ill effects. (Except craving a cigarette of course.)

I agree. Even 24 hours is a bitch. You should be proud, dude. Only 48 more and the hard part is over.

What the hell is wrong with your braces?

Im fairly certain they are not supposed to do that. At least as far as I know from personal experience.

Nor should they cause bleeding.

I think you should have a chat with whoever put those braces on you.

Unless your teeth are really messed up, I don't see the point in braces. Lot of hassle, lot of money, lot of pain for a very marginal appearance boost. No one really cares if your teeth are a little crooked.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Yup, I'd qualify that as "really messed up" :)
