Possibly because you don't have any myths about how your country was founded.

Or is that just us?

We had a very rich history of winning and enforcing our term upon the victims in somewhat novel ways.

Uugh. It's still two weeks to the big tests, but i'm already incredibly nervous. This is really, really bad. I don't think i can survive that for 2 weeks. So much frustration ;_;

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

HISTORY IS NOT BORING.
Well, US history probably is, but some day you might actually get proper history lessons :)

Right...  Because rebellion, civil war, underground resistance movements, assassinations and political scandals are only interesting in Europe.

I couldn't have phrased it better!
I'm an American, and its pretty fucking boring. Literally any other country is awesome to read about, but not ours. Maybe its because we're so young. :P
Yeah, you guys are like, 5 years old on the global scale.

I think I have socks that are older then the US of A

You think American history is bad?

Try Canada.

"Bunch of fur traders settled."

"Fast forward 300 years, provinces bicker about confederation."

"Big Mac settles it."

"Capital dispute, FRENCH OR ENGLISH AREA? Compromise!"

"Train across the country!"

Fast forward to WW1!

"Woo we are a country now, we took a hill in Europe! Jolly goo- Oh shit we're Canadian. Uh. UH. Oh, yeah, eh?"

Fast forward to 1970s

"Super fly TNT prime minister, hostage crisis, woop woop"

And after that, we're Americans bitch.

Honestly, boring as fuck.

Try Belgium. You can't even fast forward 300 years, since that would take you 2130.

Luckily European history is quite interesting.

Well, fast forward like 300 years from the first settlement on Canadian soil to Confederation.

It was like, 1860s? I think?

And maybe early 1600s.

so 250.

... maybe.

Canadian History: American History minus Revolution and Civil War. Instead, you bravely asked the British for permission to give yourselves permission to leave.  :P
Which honestly, is about as Canadian as it gets.

Versus American history where you start a bloody war in protest of 1. a different bloody war, 2. who's holding the guns around here, and 3. the implementation of a tax reform for luxuries that would have led to luxuries becoming cheaper, which you protest by grossly misinterpreting the rights given by a civil rights law.

Well, the unofficial American motto is "Don't fuck with us, man! We'll shoot!"
