The religion bashing on what I thought was a cultured and accepting forum.
How many pagans does this forum have? It probably needs more pagans.

I'm not pagan, but I have an extremely odd view on a religion that may at some point endanger my life. :P

It's an odd take on Solomon's Key and Christianity. I might be doing ritualistic exorcisms at some point.

So the evening is going pretty awesome, having some drinks with friends, see some people I'm glad to see, listen to some pretty boss jazz/rock/swing live music, generally what I'd call a great evening.

But then I come home and it all kinda crashes down into deep fucking depression and darkness. I really don't know how to describe the transition as I don't know when or how it happened but it just kinda did. And the really bad thing is that it isn't letting go, everything I was kinda hopeful for is rather bleak now.

It's all just so meh and pointless, and I don't fucking know why, god damn it me, why are you so damn secretive and closed shut, even with myself :C

#WARNING! VENT POST INCOMING!#

We walk through life, like somebody stumbling and feeling their way through a vast, darkened hall, looking for that one spark, that one thing that will light up the dark and allow us to see clearly the wonders around us. For some, that spark is wealth, for others, religion, and for yet more people, it's merely enough to be alive. For myself, that spark is love. I thought I found my spark once, only for it to gutter and fade before it flaired to brilliance. I had hope, I got a glimpse of the wonders of the hall, before it failed and somehow left everything darker than before. I've always kept looking since that first, fleeting taste, never finding it, but never truly giving up. Until now. I'm losing hope, I'm starting to feel like I should just lie down and let the darkness take me, instead of trying to banish it. I'm weary and I'm worn, incapable of dealing with the trials and tribulations of life anymore. I can barely keep myself going, and the only thing keeping me from surrendering is the fact that my fear of cessation of existence is greater than my despair.

I know, I know, emo/quasi-philosophical bullshit/whiney attention-whorish rant. But I need to vent.

#THIS HAS BEEN A VENT POST!#

Lots and lots and lots of fish in the sea, Vorthon :) Don't lose hope.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Well then, glad my spark is power. So much easier to attain, to manipulate the minds of the weak.

Though really I would argue there's no single "spark" for anyone. I mean, I'm totally motivated by trying to find TWOO WUV as well right now, but I've got lots of other motivators too.

Balance, Vorthon! Find that lady/man of your dreams, but also have additional dreams on top of that.

Yeah, but all of my other dreams hinge on me finding that special someone.

That is terrible. Jesus, I'm obsessed with not being lonely and I have other dreams. Calm down, theres more to life then A lover. Find them, love comes while other things happen.
