I think someone poisoned one of my family's dogs many years ago.  She broke her line one day and I found her later dead beside the road a block away.  She didn't seem to have any injuries.  All we found was a single postal stamp-sized square where her fur was shaved, and there was a single red dot.  That was in that really fucked up backwoods town where I lived from age 8-16.  There were some really sadistic kids there.  I heard classmates enthusiastically tell each other stories about setting cats on fire and the like.

a trail of dead grass in the middle of our garden where it kept running.
That's not a cat, that's some weird hellspawn with anti-biotic properties.

It ran over the exact same path every night, trampling the grass. It basically made a thin *trail* for itself. Kinda impressive, actually.
Our cat does that too. In our own garden tough.
He always runs to our garden shed and THEN he runs to the back gate of our garden.

Well, I got a letter from the college I dropped out of due to some problems with most of the student body and some of the teachers having a strong hatred for the disabled. I owe them $125 in back financial aid, and that's $125 I am unable to pay due to my landlord raising the rent by $75 last January simply because people on Social Security got around $24 more in benefits.

Which leads me to the bit that states that since the cost of living is going up around $21 next January that my Social Security will go up as well and that my landlord will probably raise the rent by $100. Of course, according to the lease agreement I don't have renter's rights while living here.

All in all I'm a little down this morning, but that will change once I get some caffeine in me.

Jeepers, friend.  Have you considered going back to school?  If you attend a community college you should end up making money in the end due to the grants being well over the cost.  Getting paid to go to school?  Not too shabby when you cannot hold a job... of course I assume you don't have obligations that would prevent you...  I did the math this summer as a fallback plan D.

Best luck.

I can certainly understand the /desire/ to poison animals. But that would be wrong, because let's be honest, my beef has never been with the animal. It's just doing animal stuff.

And it's wrong to poison animals just because it's too difficult to poison the owners.

(Maybe I should consider investing in a larger cage trap and make a trip to a pound several towns away. Unfortunately, this is still likely to have the same outcome, but at least I can say I tried.)

DEFCON 2? Thats General engagement Levels! ARM THE NUKES! Get Our Submarines into the Sea of Okhotsk! Scramble the Bombers Over Europe! Send the Fighters on Spying Suicide missions to Ascertain Nuclear Silos! Activate the Anti-Missile Defense systems!

Besides. it much more rewarding to poison the Owners. The sense of pride you get when seeing them collapse is very worth it.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Sad. Urgggh. Very sad. Want to cry. Can't.

So tired. Don't want to sleep. Want to do something. Nothing appeals.

I can't think of anything to say that wouldn't be empty :'(

Sleep hans, if you're tired. Some rest will do a bit of good, at least.
