I actually have a novel that introduced me to the concept of straw purchasers. It was told from the gunrunner's perspective :P

Wait, I....what?? I can't even parse this section:
Quote
The use of platforms in languages abuse specialists or abuse systems do not master should be unacceptable and preferably technically impossible.

Is abuse a verb, adjective or noun here? And is an "abuse specialist" someone who specializes in catching abuse or dealing it out?

Because yeah, if I take the interpretation that they did, they're basically saying "Okay, we're banning Old Church Slavonic from the Internet because we don't have any CT folks or language filters that can handle it."  ???

Why are domestic surveillance  cameras so bad? I see no true harm in them, and a lot of potential good. Esp if people are going to record the content they see and hear from your personal lives. And all the everything. Not even including the ways it can get abused.
And there are already a line of people waiting to abuse these systems. They are the ones proposing them in the first place after all.

If that gets passed or whatever happens, I wonder if and when it will spread to the US, and what would happen if I flail my genitals at the screen.

Of course, the risk is that someone, somewhere, will be getting off to it.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
