One text isn't going to drive away anyone unless they're crazy. Is she crazy? :P

I said something that everyone here agrees was relatively harmless, and my friend stopped texting back. And now I've texted her, asking if I tripped her out, and she hasn't texted back...

The moral of the story is: Fuck cell phones. Seriously.

Uh... I'm not entirely sure. I would say no... But I'm not a very good judge of crazy, if I look back on my choice of girlfriends. She is a bit of... Well, she's a pervert. That's all I've been able to discern from our conversations as far as crazy. :P

I'm a pervert too. Oh noes :P

Wasn't your last text about porn? If she's open about that stuff she's not going to get creeped out by you doing it too.

Talk to her in meatspace. Like you said, fuck cell phones :) And don't worry about it in the meantime.

Except asexuals! ;D Honestly, that's probably the sane position anyway (though not as much fun).

This man speaks truth. :P

And this man also. So, I see her on Friday. Which is another whole day I have to stew on this. In possibly a manic mood. Not good times.

One time I was talking about a cheating GF, and she was like, "Can't both you guys bone her at the same time?" Except in more detail. Also, she makes almost as many, "That's what she said." jokes as I do. She also pretend checks me out to make jokes about it.

I went cold turkey re: cigarettes yesterday, and had to write a 2 page paper on the characterization in a short story today.
It's only two pages, should be easy, right? Wrong.

I'm so scatter-brained right now, it's insane. My paper just jumps around. It goes something like:
-Existential Horror is everywhere, but it's rarely found in literature the same way it's found here! Also, the character grows for it.
-The story begins with a sense of timelessness, which comes to an end as the character begins his journey.
-The three other characters represent the Maiden, the Mother, and the Crone. Or, in other words, they represent the three stages of life.
-Quotes showing that this was probably intentional.
-The growth is foreshadowed. In fact, the protagonist anticipates it, he just doesn't realize that this is what he's anticipating!
-For some reason I want to point out that water is often related to dreams, and water plays a prominent role in this story.
-Now I'm gonna try to pull all that together into a conclusion: The anticipation mixed with the ever-present sense of time causes the protagonist's existential crisis. He's helped through this by someone who is near his age, and has likely recently gone through a similar "growth" in person, and thereby comes out all the stronger for it.

I literally. just...
want to cry, when reading it through. And I don't have time to fix it, and I have a headache and my head is too all over the place to do anything worthwhile right now anyways.

Ouch :( I've never had an addiction that bad so I dunno what you're going through.

If going cold turkey is too debilitating though, have you considered the nicotine patches or gum?

Not exactly an option, unfortunately. I've tried to quit smoking before, but it's never been quite like this. Twice, in fact, and both on a whim, just like this go 'round.
The good news is that if today is any indication of what the next week will be like, I've got a good six hours of "normal" and "light cravings" before the worst of it comes! So if tomorrow is anything like today, I might be able to get my work done before I feel like bashing my head into the screen.
