Try the Macromeme thread. :3

Oh, yes, try the Macromeme thread. I knew I made it for /some/ reason.
There's a thread? Never knew/forgot about that.

Already checked, ain't there. Was more of a sad thread-worthy image anyway.

ETA: And for some reason, the search function of the forums here only gives me a single, seemingly random post from this thread :o

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Not feeling really into ponies. Only pony thing I'm looking forward to with any sort of anticipation is episode 10 of the next season.

I am not cramming. I am merely applying material to y brain in an efficient manner.

Joke aside, I -do- need to do that. @_@

Should be writing a review for coworker for ... yearly review thing? But can't focus and urgh. :(

And now that dragon stuck is stuck in my head. That's... really bad. When a song gets stuck in my head, it tends to play on repeat for days. Just... endless loop.

Bleh. Just feeling a lack of self-identity. Just the week after I had to give a presentation on the development of self-concept, and in particular what can cause problems with it. Most notably - leaving groups one has been a long time member of.

Did not know what self-concept was. Looked it up.

Not entirely sure I have one of those...

Well, to put it in simple terms, a self-concept is composed of three parts (yes, this is the simple way :P) - your self-image, your self-esteem, and your ideal self. These, in turn, are made by four parts - The ways in which others (particularly significant others) react to us (self-explanatory), how we think we compare to others (keeping up with the Joneses), our social roles (teachers will think better of themselves than garbagemen) and the extent to which we identify with other people (how we feel we fit in to our groups, and whether we think the group is good or not).

And yeah. Pretty much all of those are dependent on a group. So splitting yourself from a group can be particularly devastating to a self-concept.
