But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Gee thanks. What's the next step...?

My god, I'm all of those things listed in the above. I grew up without a father (left for USA to support us financially), faced poverty, starvation and rejection during my childhood. Had to stop school and lost all of my friends (I have a friendless background, more or less), due to debts, problems and the aforementioned poverty, almost committed suicide.

And then... I realized that all of my actions and my personality is a result of this set of problems. I feel so empty without approval, or helping others. I do not enjoy just trying to enjoy life with myself. I'm about to cry...

That right there is the next step. Cry if you need to, man; you've got my shoulder to lean on at least :)

I keep procrastinating :(
Something that helped me deal with procrastinating (granted, I still suffer from it now and then) was to remind myself of all the painful times I procrastinated and ended up suffering for it.  Bad grades, bad artwork, missed time with friends, all that.  It's essentially like spanking yourself for doing something wrong.  Eventually you associate the emotional trauma with procrastinating and you feel more motivated to do things on time.  I dunno if this would work for everyone though.

Having to cut my bike ride short because I forgot to bring a water bottle and ended up dehydrated quite quickly.

Leave yourself a note? Or you could take a note from Bear Grylls's book...

The book is metaphorical, it's actually a dead snake.
