Just don't be an entitled douche bag that thinks everything he does is better because it is obscure and you'll be fine.

Apparently I might not be moving at all. Since I don't need a degree for a digital art job I can work on my drawing skills at a local art studio for now. I don't really like this city, but the $1000 I'm saving in rent and food by staying at home tells me to stay. I can't afford to live in a better city. :'(

I kind of wish I wasn't in the middle of nowhere so that I can actually meet some people from the forums.

Maybe you can move out when you have some experience and can apply elsewhere? Dunno how long it'd take to make a decent resume though... :(

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. It's in the center of the middle province, and it's not a bad size, but not great. I like bigger cities.

Some of my pictures are actually pretty good, but I'm not consistent enough to get a job in the industry. There are a lot of things that I just don't know yet that I'll have to learn through the internet. The local art studio doesn't cover digital art explicitly, so I'd be on my own for texture libraries and more modern techniques. I'd say I need at least two years of practice before I'd have a portfolio worth showing. I still need to learn more perspective and landscaping techniques at the very least.

With this said I think I should bring back my art thread soon. Only instead of daily pictures I change it to every three days to give me time.

School's starting again for all my friends, and here I am, out of high school but not in post-secondary yet, without a job, looking forward to months at least of doing absolutely nothing.  I like having free time, I don't like having nothing to do.

Find somewhere local to volunteer? There's usually something or another beneficial that could use an extra hand gratis, and it tends to make your resume a little better looking. Also, possibly doing a good thing.
