Blargh I don't want to go real-life rafting I can't cast magic what if goblins jump on the boat
I'm just being silly. Doesn't change that I don't wanna go, though.
xD xD

RL rafting is really fun though!! As long as you don't get mutinied (I know that the boys in my class dunked some of their own in the river), pirated (said boys also were pirates and splashed water over all the rafts that passed by), overturned (very dangerous is white water), or fall overboard (same).

It's actually much simpler than that: smarts only get you so far by themselves. In uni you'll realize that to get good marks your wits will help, but won't equal a "get out of hard work" free card anymore.

It's less I'm disappointed I can't ride through class on my "wits" and more I can study and work as long and hard as many of my classmates and understand half as much as them.

But then I can overcome that by working twice as hard, I suppose.

Had a weird, creepy, childish dream last night.

Apparently in my dream my dog Josie hadn't died and instead had gone to NASA to be trained as a space doggy, and I got to go with her as an astronaut and play with her on a space station...

Found a great laptop that could do pretty much everything I need/want a computer for. Looked at the price tag and realized that it's something like 1/2 of my savings. FFFFF-

One of my dogs' name is Josie Wales. o.O Reincarnation is awesome.

Related to the dream thing, I had a dream last night where I was in a relationship with someone I want to be in a relationship. It was just mundane stuff, like driving around and talking about stuff. It was pretty blissful til I woke up.

Random floating on sunshine today~

In three days time or so I'll be in the dumps again though.
And here it is. Hello dumps, how have you been.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

That was quick. Speaking of quick, we need 3-4 huggers to strap themselves to a helicopter so we can hug you out of the dumps.

Dilemma. Three-four hours lounging outside in Florida heat, or >24 (Though <48) hours more or less stuck in a somewhat poorly ventilated building that contains within it a TV bigger than I am.

Currently leaning heavily toward sweat and mosquitos :-\

E: Mosquitos won out. Time to start the three hour free sauna~

At least it comes with Internet! If the wireless reaches the porch, anyway.

E2: It does! Now to "enjoy" Florida weather. So far, this looks to be fairly bearable. So long as you don't move, breath steadily, and are sitting besides a fridge full of cold water. And ignore the bugs.

BBC iPlayer has it already and can be viewed for free by anyone with what appears to be a UK IP address.  I would never recommend that anyone outside the UK should access it through Tor.
