I was reading this topic today:

http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=111396.msg3368003#msg3368003

It made me sad. Just like this video did:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAxc_EfwcqI

Why do people in power suck so fucking much? Can't they just not be ruthless pricks? Shouldn't that be easy? EVERYONE knows what right and wrong are, minus people with serious mental disorders such as psychopathy, why doesn't anyone act like a decent human being?

/End Sadness

Other than that, its a wonderful day in the neighborhood. Hope you're all doing good.

Well, we could put two and two together and write a book: "The Shit that Hans and Max Did: You Won't Believe This Shit."
He's fucking with us.

My poor car! *weep*
I feel your pain. A couple of years ago I left my left side ruined by brushing against a concrete pillar. My reaction

(my car got better, though. Eventually)

Man, seems like my group of close friends are all having breakdowns, starting with mine.

It's weird how I feel better when I'm offering a shoulder to lean on, despite needing one myself.

They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Most of my friends didn't get back to me about the plans I'd been making for the 4th, and those who did didn't want to go out or do anything. Ended up sitting on some rocks by the lake, watching a few private fireworks shows (they recently legalized fireworks in my state). Compared with last year, when I was together with a bunch of folks at the same lake watching the fireworks, followed by lying around on a grassy hill stargazing and talking into the night... this year was pretty lonely. Peaceful and contemplative, I suppose, but lonely.

Just keeps reminding me of how despite my efforts, my social circle seems to once again be drifting apart. That, and serving as a reminder of why it's often easier to let it be, and stop trying to make new friends.
