I'm really depressed again, so I'm just going to study for the next 7 hours and hope I can forget how alone I am. Even though I'll just make myself even more different by studying. I hate this.

Q:Things that made you sad today thread.
A: Size of this thread, loads of negativity it seems.

Well we had to put it somewhere and the drawer by the sink was full.... So....

If it makes you feel better, the happy thread is about twice this size.
And most of it's derail, not sads.

Also, it's a good three or so years old, which kinda' dilutes the overall impact of its girth. Maybe. I'unno, it's like fortysomething posts per day badly eyeballing and estimating (48k/1k, basically.) things, which I guess is kind of a downer.

Someone should do a sads per hour or something.

2.01 sads per hour.

The happy thread is at 3.67 happies per hour, just for reference.

Mind you, this doesn't take into account the massive amounts of derail in both threads, just the post count.

Feeling blue. It's been a while since I felt this way; Nothing has really happened either.

Tomorrow morning I should be going to the doctors to see if they think I should be working having not completely recovered from the tenosynovitis in one of my wrists. My worry is that working so soon will make it flare up again and it was surprisingly painful.

Figured out my fundamental psych hangups.

a.) Completely terrified of people totally rejecting me for being GLBT.
b.)Worried that due to "a" above nothing I do will matter and will be dismissed cause I did it.

That's why I get stalled/slowed down, distract myself, ect.

Now that you understand them, you can work on them!

That's what happened with me and my depression/misanthropy. I realised why I was sad all the time, and then I could work on feeling better.

Bronchitis~

I feel like I'm old or something; coughing (both dry and wet), shortness of breath, sometimes numb arms, dizziness, can't speak a sentence without having my voice weaken in the middle and/or coughing.

Also couldn't go to a friend's graduation party because of aforementioned symptoms.

Additionally, finished a terrain heightmap generator with much difficulty and realized I had no way of rendering it. Felt stupid, and like wasted 4 hours. T-T

You are not human.
Human or humane?

Although thanks for the compliment either way I guess.
Humans are a race of intelligent primates that happen to be superpredators and a highly invasive, destructive species. So, not much of a compliment if you're a dodo or a penguin, or some other small, easily extinctified animal.

Humane is a highly misused word. It means to behave in a manner that humans do, from just looking at it. But most people take it to mean highly compassionate and kind. How and why someone decided humans are a highly compassionate and kind species mystifies me utterly, but that is the popular meaning of the word. Personally, I don't see any real difference between humans and animals, but people assure me that is quite ridiculous. Humans are obviously greater beings than lowly animals. We are kind. (War. Murder. Flamethrowers. Torture.) We are religious. (Crusades, Jihads, non-involvement during the Holocaust) We are smart. (NASCAR. :P )
What isn't there to love?

I digress.

Today, I was made sad by the fact I'm just tired of people. I just want to be left alone now. I'm not single. I'm happily alone. Make them all go away please. Maybe I should become a hermit.

Wait, what's wrong with NASCAR?
Probably the fact that driving in a circle is considered a sport.

It... It was the joke. I said, "We are smart. (NASCAR)" Because non-NASCAR fans deride NASCAR fans for being simpletons...

I find it incredibly disturbing for some reason that the only thing that bothered you about that was the NASCAR bit.
