A bunch of minor sads can add up to a major sad.

Do you have anything to look forward to, or work toward? And is it something you actually care about? If not, find one.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

I find myself unable to write any kind of plot in the fear that it will be the next my immortal.

Don't worry, it takes intent to be as bad as My Immortal.

Making something godawful > making nothing at all.

Even if you do write the most horrible piece of fiction to ever blight the Earth, at least you got some practice and will almost certainly do better next time.

Maybe, but it's an RP group, and the price of shitty writing is that the other people I rp with won't find it enjoyable and... god, this sounds dumb when I say it out loud.

I dunno how strict you are with your RP groups, but one I ran ages ago went down the tube because I was way too serious about my storyline (specifically, sticking to it. I was a total railroader). Make it loose and flexible, and you can do no wrong; your players will guide it to fun places. It can be as cliche as hell, and they'll have fun.

As long as it's fun, man. As long as it's fun.

The tale of Leopabaru Conchaki, half-drow half-ogre ninja wizard, comes to mind.

Japa: My Immortal is hilarious! Imagine how many people could have fun if your work was that bad.

Making something that's absolutely mediocre is probably the worst thing.

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.
