It seems every time I feel terrible lately everyone that can help is gone or needs to go.
I wish I could help. :[

EDIT: Oh, there's a new Daft Punk flavour to nyancat, does that help?

Thankfully, this law firm is receiving bails of hate mail, lots of nasty anonymous emails, and scorn. Unfortunately they aren't the only horrid firm out there taking an overly stupid advantage of the legal industry problems. There have been rumors of a purposefully crashed website. Good. I'd be ashamed to pay anyone on this level $10,000 for a full time job.

Looking on the brighter side, the Gilbert & O'Bryan position can be viewed as the equivalent of a medical school students' residency program, Kenyon notes. That's essentially what the Massachusetts Bar Association recommended in its May report on employment in the legal field. Medical residencies pay little, but students get hands-on training and valuable experience. The report proposes a reinvented third year of law school to expose students to work they'd see in a real job, since law firms these days "are less willing to pay for new lawyers who do not possess any skills related to the actual day-to-day practice of law or any awareness of the legal needs of clients," the report says.

Paid internship would be the correct name for that job.

Tired, depressed, but not sleepy. I lay in bed for a while but couldn't sleep.

There's also something else that happened today.

There's an diary on my desk, it's been there for years, my mother got it for me a long time ago so I could track of all my appointments and such, I have never used it, it has just sat there unused for years. A while back I flicked through the pages, and ran into something I had written down in the "notes" part at the back. It was the phone numbers for all my old friends, I'd written it in there and forgotten all about it.

Today I tried to contact one of them, I was too terrified to actually call, so I sent a text message asking if she'd be willing to talk to me sometime because there's some stuff I need to get off my chest.

She's probably changed her phone number, or blocked off anything coming from my phone, or maybe she'll just completely ignore the message because let's face facts, I'm a horrible, horrible, person. I've been feeling nervous about this all day.

Minor sad, minor sad. Primary cook person in house said cook "lots" of rice, when queried as to how much would be good idea for company.

Turned out I was the only person interested in eating rice. Which I'll probably be eating for the next two-three days. Not really a bad thing, per se, but I wasn't expecting to cook breakfast for people and end up cooking my full diet for the next few sunrises :-\

Job hunting with no luck. Most likely due to Catch-22, competition and language barrier.
90€ left after rent.
30€ in dentist bills, if the same rate is used.
No financial "support" from society if I choose not to put myself in debt.
Eating tuna and mushroom sauce with macaroni and the leftovers for five days just to survive this month.
