India and Australia are pretty much the same...

During Black Saturday we had 46 +/-3C. In suburbs intensely affected it was ~50C.

My suburb got to 48.8C. I had to drink electrolytic solutions constantly to keep hydrated (I dehydrate very quickly) and our power went out because of all the cooling everyone tried to do.

Wat.

Temperature wise.

Weather wise too, if we're talking tropical Australia (Darwin, northern Queensland, etc).

Neither if your talking South Australia. I'm freezing my arse off down here.

I don't mean at the same time. :P

Obviously if India is boiling hot, then Australia will be in winter.

And vice versa. I mean during the respective summers, we have similar weather.

And Gamerlord, Victoria's awful. RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN RAIN at the moment.

Thankfully, India has pretty mild winters.

As in, there's two weeks where the weather is the temperature of an air conditioned room, and that's about it.

Honestly, Melbourne weather infuriates me.

Western Melbourne = Warm, pleasant, perhaps mild drizzle
Melbourne CBD = Chilly but dry, not unpleasant
Eastern/Southeastern Melbourne = OMGWTF HAILSTONES THE SIZE OF GOLFBALLS - OW OW OW MY HEAD

I shit you not, that was in one day. Across ~70km, or roughly 43mi.

In SA its not rain-cold, it's bone-cold. We're worse off here, cos we don't use baby's souls as heating fuel.  :P

Also sadness: My mum and sister are sick.
Upside: My mum gave it to a teacher I hate at the parent-teacher interviews.

That's why I stay away from the Latrobe Valley. The entire place smells like farts from the coal mining.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Still morally better than baby souls. Better for the planet too.

I thought coal was what you meant by baby souls, given a huge percentage of victorian power is coal-fired anyway.

I are confused now. Unless there's something going on I don't know about, I don't think we use baby souls for anything.

It's in your food, your petrol, even your vaccinations.

Are you perchance a vegan?

And I suppose in a roundabout way our petrol could contain 'baby souls', albeit those of million-year-dead organisms.

Yeah, I was in Adelaide for a couple of weeks one July, and it was analogous to Philadelphia or DC in January. Just a few degrees above freezing and drizzly rain most days. And then a week later I was in Alice Springs on my fifth f-cking pair of lips after the first four peeled off. And then a week after that I was in Mataranka, and it was warm enough for shorts at night. Can't imagine how hot NT/Queensland must be in the summer.
