Aww... poor spiders. :/

Don't get me wrong, there are things I want to genocide, but spiders and mice? Adorable. Or Adorabloodthirsty, in the case of the spiders.

No, if we're genociding /anything/, I'd like to put forward: Mozzies, Ticks, and Botflies.

Maybe Lice, too.

Definitely genocide botflies. Possibly the most nightmare inducing species on the planet.

Mice? I'd be happy to genocide them if they weren't actually valuable in their native eco-systems (and if they actually bloody stayed in their own eco-systems), spiders, cute as hell AND they get rid of flies. Why would you want to kill them? :C

Mozzies, Ticks and Botflies.

Universally hated.

Red button, pronto.

Mozzies, Ticks and Botflies.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the ecosystem can get by without those.

I fucking wish mosquitoes weren't vital cornerstones of the food chain.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I fucking wish mosquitoes weren't vital cornerstones of the food chain.

My final combat exercise featured blood sucking insects for almost round the clock for several days in a row. God dammit, try doing a recon report with hundreds of those things buzzing around and eating you. I could slap my neck and it would leave a huge blood stains on my hand with little bits of dead insects in there. It was pretty infuriating to say the least. By the end of the week my face was all swollen because of all the bites. My ears got the worst of it though. They were huge, red, swollen dumbo ears at that point, I got plenty of remarks about them afterwards too. I never hated mosquitoes before that, but afterwards I was a kill-em-all grade lunatic for a long time if I faced those blood suckers.

Thank god I don't live in a swamp. Here's hoping summer won't bring too many bugs in my face again.

If anyone knows the secret to self confidence, I'd love to hear it.

I gained a lot of self-confidence when I started going to art school :O  Maybe it has to do with what you want to do in life.  I know for a fact I want to make video games, and I'm going to be an artist who makes games.  I also learned that I'm very good at writing because of my English degree.  I also gained confidence when I chose to stop being a Christian and come out of the closet.  I'm not sure if you can really "gain" confidence.  It's more like you have to shuck Life like an oyster and devour the delicious self-confidence inside.

If you have to ask there's probably no easy secret to getting it.

My problem is I get bursts of motivation, make something creative, and then get massive bouts of anxiety when I share it. So I'm doing the shucking, getting scared, and dropping it. Sigh.

Kaijyuu, I've found that dramatic acting always worked. I was quiet and without any enthusiasm until I took up amateur theatre. Six years later and I'm my loud and happy self.
