I haven't had an alcoholic beverage since my 21st birthday two years ago. That said, I sure feel tempted to drown my sorrows right about now.

Hear hear! Is good to hear that Vector is shedding the depressing stuff that she no longer needs. We should still go drinking sometime. Sake is a wonderful brew.
You sir are one drunk bastard.
I am. I really should step away from the keyboard. Really. Huh. Really.

No, I strongly advice against that. Stepping away from your keyboard is the last thing you want to do. Trust me, you are a lot safer, and if nothing else funnier here.

Well, if it puts it in perspective, I had a Weizen glass containing 1-12oz can of Coca-cola, 5-ice cubes, and the rest Kraken black rum. It was full to the brim.

Well, I learned hard today that I shouldn't depend on people if they can't depend on me.

Know your limits, boys and girls. Giving yourself loads of responsibility and putting yourself under the expectations of others won't motivate you if you're physically unable to accomplish what you set out to do. If you're like me, you'll do the opposite and crawl in a hole and hide, hoping problems will go away (they won't).

Though TBH this makes me feel a lot better. The aforementioned hiding and running away is the sad, painful thing, and that's over for now. Still in sad thread because it fucking sucks.

For, in order that men should resist injustice, something more is necessary than that they should think injustice unpleasant. They must think injustice absurd; above all, they must think it startling. They must retain the violence of a virgin astonishment. When the pessimist looks at any infamy, it is to him, after all, only a repetition of the infamy of existence. But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.

Alan Wake's finally out on PC.  I was excited to play a good horror game only to find a "thriller," a just-under-par Dean Koontz paperback in video game form.  It's not scary.  It's not even kind of scary, on a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give it a 2, and that one point is just there because it's scarier than a game that's not supposed to be scary.

By just under I mean the bad kind of under, not the good kind of under.  I'd give it a C minus.

Alan Wake was supposed to be a horror game?

I spent a lot of time thinking about what my actual flaws and barriers to success were, and tried to figure out why I did a lot of things that were making me miserable.  Then I did a whole lot of things that scared the dickens out of me, because staying where I was was a hell of a lot scarier.

I read Great Expectations once. I was sorely disappointed.
