I have to drop a class because I'm not going to learn anything in it; it was my only humanities course.  I'm not sure what to do now.

Take Archeology or Anthropology.  Those usually count and are good.

And you have to admit, there's some powerful irony in saying you're not going to learn anything from a humanities course.  It's little such dichotomies that got me through.

What I'm saying is that I feel like I should take a course to expand my way of thinking, and this course isn't doing it.

Most of the humanities courses here are so easy that I could get an A while barely thinking at all.  This is, indeed, what I have done, in multiple disciplines.  I need to find something else, because right now I have 3 math courses and a course which I can't take anymore.

Apparently they're doing a gritty reboot of Devil May Cry.  Why?  Of all the series to completely change, why Devil May Cry?
Knowing Capcom, they'll probably release it as a first person shooter or something.
Knowing Capcom, it will be released for a gimmicky system and stay Japan-only forever.
Knowing Capcom each level costs 10 cents. And weapons upgrades are 5 bucks a set.

Argh.

Logarithms. Its all going over my head and its just so annoying because this is going to turn up in the test and even thinking about them gives me a headache. It means I will have to go over them so many times and argh. Hopefully, I can go over them and get them, but it is still really annoying.

Blah, between a midterm super-long period of gym (2 hours) and my dance teacher deciding to do stamina drills, I am so sore in my legs. :(

So I spoke to my mother and said, "At some point I'd like to get a piano, a full one, not the half board one we have, and I'd like it to have pedals."

She started out supportive, telling me that I'd need to get formal lessons if I got one, she didn't want me just looking stuff up online and such.

Then... well somehow she managed to turn 180 degrees and started telling me how I didn't deserve a piano. She told me there was no way she was getting me one, and that I didn't deserve it. I was about to break into tears so I just walked out of the room and listened to her finish her rant at my father. Now I remember why I don't talk to my mother if I can help it. I have no idea how she got so good at destroying my ego.

epsxe is one of the best I've used, though apparently there's other ones that don't need plugins.

I use ePSXe, since my PS1 is long dead.

Best one I've ever used, except that it requires plugins for certain games to work and stuff.

Sorry Pnx.  If it helps you feel any better a full size piano alone can run near the cost of a car. (just a quick google search showed full size pianos at $10000, and I'm not even sure that was a really good one.  As a comparison my current car cost me $4000)  Not to mention the cost of formal lessons.   Maybe it seemed like a good idea until she saw the price tag on these things, didn't want to worry you about family finances, and just failed pretty hard at finding a good excuse.

Of course I don't know your parents, so I could be wrong, If I am ignore me, otherwise maybe try again some time in the future.

On this topic, how much is a hammered 88-key MIDI keyboard over there?

You won't find any ideal emulators. Even fairly early games like Parasite Eve or FFVII can be difficult to run properly, while later titles like Resident Evil 3 or Legend of Dragoon can be almost unrecognizable. Luckily, PS1 and PS2 consoles are very cheap.

pSX runs most games fairly well without any wacky plugin necessities.

ePSXe is better IF you have the patience to configure it.

But the optimist sees injustice as something discordant and unexpected, and it stings him into action.
