@Truean: As a (reportedly pretty good) salesperson, I would've asked if you were interested in a coat for a ladyfriend, asked for the size/style you were looking for, stuck my foot in my mouth offering advice about patching up relationships, sold you a coat you were interested in and sent you on your merry way never knowing the difference.

What the hell, sales lady? I mean, you got the sticking your foot in your mouth part right, but failed on all other accounts.

I seem to be kind of depressed.  Not the really bad kind, just the blah, "fuck who cares," low self-esteem kind.

I know that I seem to have cycles of a year or so: work really hard and do cool things for a year, do fuck all for a year and spend most of my time drooling over pixels.  Always have.  A year to run forward as fast as possible, and a year to sit around feeling shitty and pensive.  Doesn't mean I like it, though.

My cat may be sick.

He isn't eating his food, and he doesn't want to be inside at all.

I even made some fish fried in bacon grease and he did little more than lick at it a bit, then go meow at the door.

He is neutered, so I don't think it can be a cat in heat driving him crazy..

How long has he been doing this? If just for a short time it might not be very serious (he might be catching his own food outside, after all). I could ask my father if you should go check him out, but I don't personally think it sounds very serious... That he wants to go outside probably means he still has energy and stuff, after all.

I wonder if literally everyone else's legs in the whole wide goddamn world are just longer than mine. I just can't find a pair of pants that I don't have to wear up to my stomach like Urkle to avoid having them sag and drag across the ground.

I just want a pair of pants where I can wear the waist at my waist, and not have my pantlegs get fucking destroyed from dragging on the ground.

"OKAY TYPING FINGERS! Spell 'pants', can you do that?"

"Paints"

"NO No no!! Well, let's see, can you spell 'waist'?"

"Waste"

"GODDAMNIT!"

Hey Josh, you may wish to consider taking up sewing so you can take up the leg of the pants so they're nice and short.

I was about to say - better to need them shorter than longer. Just get them taken in. Even if you don't take up sewing that is like a 5 dollar job at the tailors. Heck, I've asked stores I got them from about taking them in and they did it for free for me right there. I'm not saying that part is particularly common, mind you.

Alternately, buy some capris.

Buy whatever you feel comfortable in, honestly... and they can always be taken up if need be.

I for one hate shorts. My nearly translucent legs are too visible and because i have wide-ish hips the shorts never fit at the hips...

Fold the bottom.  I have one pair that is totally shredded at the bottom but folding the bottom like two times helps.

It has been a at least 3 days since he stopped eating.

Do you know what he's doing outside? Is he still coming home at his usual pace, even if he just leaves again? Has he gotten noticeably thinner? How old is he, by the way?

He spent all of Saturday from 6 am till 9 pm laying in the same spot in a bush. He only came inside when I crawled through the stickers and carried him home. He has not been coming home at all when called, even when I use the magic words like treat or fish, he will normally come to at least the porch if I open the door or he hears my voice. I can't tell if he has lost weight and he is about 3 years old.
