Look, I'm just worried about violence being applied directly to my forehead, possibly in the form of a stick or something since I seem to recall some kendo in her background or something. And there's a tendency among people to object to being devoured.

... I assume.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Hey, I'd have been happy never learning about it myself.

How can you not 34 that?

Incidentally, I'm now vaguely saddened by the reminder of the existence of vore. I respect others right to kink, but that's one of the ones I just can't really wrap (heh, prevalence of snakes in the fetish...) my head damnit brain, go to happier places around.

Day was complete and utter shit. An old friend called and wanted me to meet up with her and another high school comrade, I of course love hating myself and turned her down. Spent the rest of the day trying to run away from my anxiety and self-imposed misery and wanted to call her up and say I did want to meet them. Played boring computer games instead.

I hate myself for acting this way.

@Vector -
Your parents ignorant arses. They should be turning into sunshine out of pure beaming pride over you, because that's what you deserve. You don't need their approval, you're a great person and those are great grades.

Honestly yeah, those are great grades. But I know how it can be to feel it's not enough. I've never pushed her at all for it and my daughter is a wreck whenever she gets a b. It's heartbreaking to see her think Ill be mad at her for something she's punishing herself for.

I know it's not my place to butt in, but have you told her that? I realise these things aren't as easy to go away just like that, but you have to tell her that.

Also another reason I don't think young kids should have outright grades in school. It's not cool.

This conversation certainly took a turn somewhere. I can't help but feel partially responsible, and for that, I am truly sorry.

Yeah, Vector?  If you haven't figured it out by now, your parents are dicks.  Unequivocally.  I would have killed for grades like that in any semester of college, and pulled it off in like three.

You got a B in set theory. I don't even want to know how many hours that took.

Unfortunately, these aren't grades to be proud of, so my parents didn't say much more than "hm" and "Well, those are pretty good grades" and "do you think you'd have gotten better grades if you'd have taken fewer courses" with a tone of bored dismissal in their voices.  Maybe next year I'll do something worthy of pride.  Right now, I feel like a spam sandwich.  A lonely one.
No offense, but your parents make me sad and angry at the same time.
Please tell me they'll never be anywhere near California.
