In more trivial news, searching for "hardcore pornography" no longer displays an xkcd forum thread composed of spamming the phrase in order to trick search engines as around the second result. I am sad.

 Just got laid-off from my job at the sushi place because their division was being shut down.

 I'm not really feeling too bad about this, and I'm taking all the lessons to full effect and value, but it is disheartening to see that experience end.

What's really sad?... this kid got the easy way out.  See Grave of the Fireflies for the more likely and depressing fate of many children in times of war.  Violence is not nearly as deadly as the secondary effects of large-scale conflict from general destabilization:  Ruined infrastructure and broken families leading to large amounts of orphaning, starvation, homelessness, etc.

My best friend that I could contact only trough Facebook for the past few months (lost her cell, didn't have the money for another one) seems to have erased her FB account, I have no idea why :(
